  1. Thanks Doc.... Can I put my pants on now........?
  2. Is there any connection regarding the old server to what I perceive as a slow and ambiguous responses I have been seeing on PT for a few weeks or do I need to keep looking?
  3. Yeah, that must be a concern. Often wonder if you are in an accident and unable to respond whether they would pump some in you as a standard measure.
  4. No, not really. European kitchen just means it is indoors!
  5. Jumper
  6. It has stopped here, and loads of dragonflys are flitting about. Quite pleasant. If we dine on the terrace tonight near sunset we risk being swarmed by the flying termites and the gheckos will be gorging themselves under my lights.
  7. I think it stopped last night here about 7pm and started up again later, I recall having to persuade the cat to bugger off out. Not sure if we got anything heavy during the night...but I must admit to being woken up at about 3.30am. Other than restricting me I quite like it... cool and no need to water anything. Not good for business I suppose though.
  8. Started at 9.30 where I am moderately heavy, and slackened off to a light rain quickly that has persisted down since.A bit inconvenient but it is nice and cool out.
  9. I know this place.... Soi 43 is a left turn off Rt 36 heading away from Sukhumvit. Close to the railway line bridge. Nong Pla Lai area.
  10. Unbreakable.
  11. I will leave it to the Oz guys here to educate us all on NSW people!

  13. I am having issues with my internet that are similar...have been for a month or more. I was thinking the internet connection was my issue, as if everything was going via an inefficient server/filter/maybe censorship. It isn't restricted to PT but that is where I feel the impact. If I hit 'Quote' 'Next Unread' 'First Unread' or something requiring a bit more work at the other end it seems to hang up or just forget altogether.
  14. This is the Dr Mick who lives up in KK and regularly receives visitors most generously? He seemed to be the most level headed all round nice/positive guy on the board. So sorry to hear this wish his a speedy full recovery.
  15. We have had fewer serious downpours this year than I am used to seeing. And overall I would say less rain. I am aware of this as I need to water a sizeable garden and pay the resulting water bill. That said, there was a lightening flash yesterday at about 6pm that nearly made me stain my pants!
  16. Damn.... bought my ticket already before this.
  17. Try buying one from Apple...

  19. Be patient, let the 24hr kick in!
  20. You must have been seriously shocked to learn you had an outbreak of zits....... truly unpleasant.
  21. Very good point as 30,000 baht ($1000) is a big deposit.Mostly in the UK it is authorised but not taken. The Thai 'deductible' at only 2000-10,000 is reasonable (UK often £500-600, 25,000-30,000 baht) is high, but liability insurance is big there (whiplash claims are up!). Having to wait 6 weeks for the refund means you have to find the cash to cover it, or pay the high CC interest.
  22. There are really cheap Chinese ones for about 4000 baht, and they can obviously go up as high as you want.I only have a cheap one for her to nip to the nearby market on the back roads. If you live off a main rd, the general way round it is to have the phone numbers of the nearest M/C taxi gang.
  23. I agree with Idefix... but actually have not needed to buy a single mattress.
