  1. Certainly, but as Etihad, for example, were supposed to have an Etihad only dedicated terminal. If I fly in and out on the same carrier, via their hub, I would expect not to have to traverse buildings, security and great distances. Having a lounge in each doesn't help unless they have some quick and comfortable way to transit you. Qatar have a dedicated Premium transfer building at Doha airport, They take you there from the plane in, and directly back to the plane for your second flight, I found that very good. I had high hopes Heathrow, British Airways and the new T5 would be the same, but no, other carriers get access and it becomes too small or unsuitable to handle all BA flights. I recall Atlanta and it being a big Delta hub.... and I am sorry to say that air travel in the USA is not the easiest. Simply too big, too busy.
  2. Sometimes there is the confusion with King and Super Queen I think it is! Or it could be Super King.(Just checked my emails). I brought some over from the UK and they had to be Super King..... to fit a bed I thought was just a regular King Size. (I think I was used to USA King Size). I have taken to measuring things lately and reading labels better. It can also matter how 'deep they are, ie mattress thickness. I got me a load of sheets that don't come all the way down a new mattress I bought!
  3. I am through there a few days after you in Biz class, and I recall my 2 previous trips had long transfer distances....... I have had an occasional quickie where the plane wasn't parked on the other side. Seem little point in my mind offering good on-board service if you are going to be jerked around during a transfer. Etihad had me change terminals recently which was also no fun. Getting too old for all these long hikes...

  5. 24 hr, (been waiting) Craig Sheffer.
  6. Do they still have the dedicated Premium transfer lounge in operation at Doha until then? Sometimes the bus transfers seem interminable as the damned thing goes all the way around the runways and getting into ground traffic jams.
  7. Yes Evil, that was a good post.
  8. Good quality bedding is really expensive here, but cheaper stuff can be had from Big C or Tesco, which for my mind negates the need to bring bedding. The style seems to be, as you say, Duvet with cover and under-sheet, which I find too hot. I ended up buying UK stuff to get a top sheet and a lightweight 'throw'...or sometimes we use a duvet cover on top of the sheet without the duvet in it. And I leave AC on all night.

  17. The rules are copied here.....The first person posts the name of an actor/actress The next post must be a MOVIE that actor/actress was in Then the next post is a different actor/actress that was in that movie Then repeat in that sequence. Try to not use the internet to find the answer. If a day goes by without an answer, then it's fair game to use the internet to find an answer. Other rules have evolved over time like the actor must be credited, no voice only, only big screen movies permitted (not for TV). They sometimes evolved after MM made a papal directive. Above it specifies THAT movie so it is a clear issue we must be talking of the same movie, not switching to a remake with the same name. I am waiting to test the ruling if I can find 2 actors with exactly the same name!
  18. 'One of the best' doesn't mean very much does it, rather non-committal actually.I think Qatar won it again this year, Emirates was 8th. Source.
  19. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
  20. Only if it was a diner car.
  21. I was just looking at the range on his UK site. Quite tempting as, strangely, one thing I miss is 'cheese on toast' and his 'Grill and Melt' looks like it could do a good job. I might make a bit of a mess though when I get in hungry after a night out, I do simply making microwave popcorn.
  22. The Natural.
  23. And wasn't I responding to a post about buying a car in Toronto?
  24. I shall get 2 bricks for the back legs of my BBQ
  25. Sure I have..... but I wasn't thinking of eating in hotel restaurants where I am less inclined to tip anyhow.
