  1. Yes, that was the point of my post, and it was in italics to show I lifted it from some trusted source. I have had my share of problems caused by food, and symptoms have varied quite a lot, the symptoms sometimes taking an hour or two, sometimes 24 or more. No point my trying to figure out what 'category' to put it in except 'I don't like it' and 'I'll blame the kitchen'.
  2. I don't know, I don't see a problem specifying a particular girl and then telling mama to leave you alone when (if) she arrives. Some places the girls are a pest, usually aggressive unattractive ones mithering you before you have got the lemon squeezed in. I find this annoying, I dislike scroungers. Other places, as a non Oriental and perhaps blatantly looking like a resident I am ignored and the girls are far away, the ones up dancing staring at themselves in the mirror and exposing nostril fluff. (Casnovy got like that, haven't been in for a while). I believe the girls are told not to hound in someplaces, Mistys for example, but getting the mix suitable for all is unlikley. I speculate I am regarded as 'hey, there's the old Expat who is pretty cheap but will buy a drink or two' Look around for more likely subjects, nope, no Japanese or two week millionaires, double check, once you commit if something better comes in no problem, can do the old toilet/go dance, not come back routine. 'Ok, I'll go make my quota' Such is the game.
  3. 24 hour rule........Was this renamed Fast 5? I have to pick this guy as it was a film about cars!!!! He got tyres in his name. (Tyres is UK spelling for tires) Tyrese Gibson
  4. And wasn't there another name in between too?
  5. So Japan wasn't involved then......nor the USA?I know in WW2 there were many killed in Japan, who did that? Using what, WMD perhaps. And you are seriously saying the Vietnamese war produced few civilian casualties. wasn't it about 2,000,000? Never heard of the My Lai massacre. Neither Europeans nor Americans can cast first stones.
  6. I have heard recent reports of 2 people killed trying to cross Sukhumvit....you have a point.

I would not go as far as to rate them number 1.I last flew Biz Class with them, and in that cabin I think Qatar are better, and I aspire to being able to afford Singapore. Punctuality and layover times were good, found Abu Dhabi airport too crowded and inefficient.
  12. Now that is refreshing, a man who respects his elders....... man...... sort of. Adam Brody was in.... Mr and Mrs Smith.

  20. I know a friend who has an insurance and repair issue (the included insurance) with a new Toyota, and I did get an overall impression of them being unhappy. I believe they had an improved scenario when the man of the family went and threw a tantrum in the dealership in front of potential customers. Did you get a police report, I ask as obvioulsy both vehicles left the scene. Sorry you are having such problems, and it's a nice car too.
  21. Sorry to say if you are due out of London, possibly heading this way, you may be in for delays. Nothing out of the ordinary this time of year. Good luck travellers. BBC
  22. I am showing my age here but I think the 'Not the 9 o'clock News' sketch featuring Pamela Stevenson (Mrs Billy Connolly) had an idea...'cut off their bollocks'....
  23. I am not sure. Some years back flights ex the old European block countries were very cheap compared to say London. The American guys would fly over and keep the return leg open, and buy all their other tickets in Poland. I wonder if you could get a ticket booked Ex-Poland then a separate one ex UK to Warsaw, or wherever. Also with all the budget carriers, you might get a cheap leg to Europe, or perhaps Turkey. You would need a friendly agent or a pal in one of these places. A bit of mongering in Prague, then on to Bangkok, not a bad holiday. It could be worse, the UK could put VAT on jet fuel!
