It does seem to be hanging a bit for me this AM (Firefox) and last night my internet was very slow. I was wondering if some of the Japanese cable damage was affecting internet traffic?

I always feel such a prick wandering down corridors and up steps clutching a towel to myself with one hand and carrying my shorts with the other. It may seem stupid but it only takes one yabba head in need and away goes your stuff. And then what options do you have? Call the police and have them arrive with 3 cameramen and your pic on the newstands?

Of course I know that, nor is Heathrow?

They stop frequently to drop people off once you get past Chonburi... now and again someone seems to get on. It can get a little frustrating as you get nearer to Pattaya and anticipation builds, and you seem to stop to drop off more and more... sometimes just a few hundred yards on. As for deviating, well actually an odd flyover may be missed to allow someone to disembark.

Do you think so.... You will have to drag a suitcase across a busy road and stand in the sun trying to flag one down.....

My neighbour has a Hutch dongle as a back-up to his ADSL. It works but appears slow to him ... I also believe it is only available in selected areas of Thailand. I think it is overpriced.

It was mentioned at the Expats club last week so I think true. Is this the right outfit...Bus from Airport ? The site says.. From Suvarnabhumi airport, we have 10 coaches departing each day. From 7:00 to 22:00

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience, the old guy under the bed trick. Do not go out with so much money on you... if the hotel safe is not working, ask for another room with a functioning safe. If it is not forthcoming, consider a change of hotel. Your choice of female company here in Pattaya is wide, and if one seems to be manipulating you, be suspicious and look elsewhere.

They have been a Godsend for some of the big old hotels that previously were empty... I guess they have the package trips... Drove past the Ambassador last night, which is way out at NaJomtiem, no way would anybody want to be stuck way out there. They create a road block even there on Sukhumvit, crossing the road and a long line of double parked baht busses loading up to take them into town. In past years their numbers have suddenly dropped as we go into low season, but there are so many about I wonder if that will be the case.

You could go via Turkey, unlikely to be any issues.Dubai and Abu Dhabi are actually the same country, so if you are worried, avoid them this trip. Perhaps KLM via Amsterdam?

Coincidentally I drove in last night and a gang of Indians crossed infront of me on Klang (no crossing, opposite Carrefour) and I had to hit the anchors (no comments about I had just washed the truck please.. ). And we all love the Chinese processions across beach road after the Island trips... I don't walk abreast even on beach road, sea-side, hardly practical. Are you expecting me to zig in and out around the parked vehicles and foodcarts selling toxic farang food? Pity the hand-holders don't have trunks, then they could walk in line like elephants, although a nearly similar option has me shuddering. We need a few more roads where traffic is banned, and a few less market stalls. Parking etiquette is also a problem.... Getting past the aged cowboy on WS was hard last night.
