  1. I do believe they do but if you use Jacobs Creek as a bench mark (because it is in the same price range) I would put Jacobs at a 5 and Wyndham at a 7 (8 for the shiraz).. When living ooop North I used to fill up with boxes of Taylors Shiraz/cab sauv at Best near Dolphin roundabout but that was before the introduction of Wyndham into the region. But Taylors went up in price and now Wyndham has dropped in price....If the 2 were side by side...same price..I would still go for the Wyndham shiraz.. Whilst you mention Chardonnay I had a nice bottle of Chilean in PBG on Sunday which was cheap and tasty.. "Bite me" does an excellent Stellenbosch too...Chang Paarp and I slugged a few bottles there maybe a month or so back..
  2. Previously I had purchased my Wyndham Estate Shiraz at Friendship at 700 baht a bottle because Big C were charging 730 baht. Last week I noticed that Big C Pattaya Tai had reduced the complete Wyndham Estate range to 599 baht..!! So I have been selfishly emptying the shelves of Shiraz over the last week before letting you all know. I spoke to the girl in there and she said it was a 3 month high season promotion...
  3. ...and nicely timed to cover Xmas presents....
  4. Brilliant.....It brightened what has, so far, been a shit day...
  5. I noticed in Friday's Bangkok Post "Guru" that some hotels are offering Turkey on Thanksgiving too....If you are getting a whole bird in can you save me the neck and we can wash it down with a Barolo...
  6. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-34742272 Whether in Thailand, USA or Anywhere..... surely it's only a matter of time before a big one goes.... Those in USA must be getting old now.. I can remember a crack appearing in the Tak Dam about 10 years ago but it was repaired...yeh right..!!
  7. If somebody did that to my daughter going to school I would hunt the fcuker down, drug them, tie them up, gag them and slowly, slowly torture them...
  8. What sort of shop is it..?
  9. Thank you very very much for this. I like to think myself as knowledgeable on most subjects but you have just blown a hole right through that!!! The human race has a lot to learn ...
  10. Well done mate ... better than 25 quid on a loser...!!
  11. I think the OP has taken his time and money to furnish with top quality items and it has excellent views in a good location....my concern long term wouldn't be with noise reduction on doors and windows but with walls....
  12. Maybe there is a problem with your ears.. He clearly says one year possible..
  13. I hate this expression.... If I have money in my pocket and am willing to shop around whether buying or renting it's up to me whether I buy or not buy... I took on the property agents on PA on exactly the same subject... The thing is they are not interested in BM loyalty or welfare its a fast buck to those unaware of what some people use the forums for..... Which is OK .... but don't try to intimidate by shaming guys into being tyre kickers..
  14. Some excellent pics there. I am sure it took time to post. Thanks
  15. In my case I was out for a walk. Stopped off at an ATM and had 20,000 in my wallet... It really wouldn't have taken much effort for a female to drastically reduce it...
  16. You are correct of course therefore none will be " Destination" businesses other than regulars in the know... I mean Khao Talo doesn't have a lot of footfall ... EDIT = And of course these are just a couple of places that have only recently pissed me off..... no idea what other trade they are missing ...
  17. I have mentioned in the Pizza thread that Bronx Pizza had a piece of paper stuck on the window saying 3pm opening but when I went there at a later date at 3pm the note had been removed and it was closed. Today I took a walk to Khao Talo after looking at the updated Darkside map.. Rod's place was closed but with no indication what time it opened. If it opened at noon I would have hung around but how did I know..?? AJs had a lovely sign saying that they had a happy hour from opening to 5pm... but what bloody time opening?? Seriously guys stick your trading hours so that customers can see..!! OH! and don't fall into the trap of putting it on the door then pulling the shutters down so no bugger can see it out of hours!!!!
  18. Yes really...I don't think google does regional accents...I agree with Jacko...
  19. Hahahaha ...
  20. It fills me with anger every time I think about it but I remember when Star Sports (or whoever shevy and Paul Maysfield worked for) announced that Harry lying cheating quisling fcukface Kewell had signed for Liverpool ............... Problem? ... They announced it in January.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Wouldn't it be interesting if the eventual winners don't appear in the poll.....?? Surely somebody at Arsenal must be wondering why they have so many hamstring/calf injuries in their first team squad...
  22. I have heard only good things about this place.... The piece of paper giving 3pm opening has been removed.....If you know the owner please can you ask him to put a sign on the door/ window with opening times .. thanks
  23. My daughter loves the Tom Yam Gung in there too..... Top quality ingredients..
