I would live in Chiang Mai, it is cooler, pretty and very relaxed.

If they add an extra charge on the ticket I won't even notice.

There is a lot to do and see in Chiang Mai.

I have argued on principle over trivial amounts in the past, but now I realize that it isn't worth it. Better to just pay it and lose 20 baht most of the time.

When I first went to Thailand it was 45 baht to a dollar. Now we are happy to get 32. What a difference a decade makes.

Can't a foreigner get something like a thirty year lease on a home ? It would be a lot better than losing everything to a Thai wife. The wife could still be the owner once the lease term runs out.

I can't prove where it came from, but it happened right when I clicked on forums. In any event it seems to be safe now.

I was infected by a nasty piece of Malware on July 4th. I wasn't able to remove it and it took complete control of my system and demanded a credit card to remove the damage. I had to get a professional to remove it. Mcaffee and spybot search & destroy did not help. Apparently Malwarebytes was able to detect it.

That's good to here, I was going by their web-site prices. It was never that expensive when I stayed there, but I haven't been there in 3 years.

I like the Natural Beach Hotel, but they have raised prices. I think it would be 1250 baht now.

In 13 trips I have never been checked in Thailand, but I have only 1 bag. I was checked in San Francisco once when coming back.
