  1. There used to be one in the Avenue - all very clean, nice people running it. Sat with my feet in a tank of cold water watching all the girls go by - I liked it. The fish did tickle a bit swimming between my toes.
  2. I'm sure we all come across this type of thing, I've had in a bar I used for four years, in hotels and in businesses around Pattaya. I don't know if this is true - but I put it down in part to their beliefs - Thai's only seem to live for today, they may be dead tomorrow and come back as something else. So worrying about what may happen tomorrow isn't in their psyche. With most Thai's if you offer them 1000 baht today or 2000 baht tomorrow they will all go for the 1000 today ( although most will want the 2000 tomorrow as well) Just a thought but is as logical as what actually happen
  3. Completely acceptable - the putt was perfect - it was the fault of the green keepers spiking the greens There are some things you just can't control
  4. Yes this thread does have legs and not just on this board. Mark of Kessaya is a top notch guy - he provides good bikes at a great price - hired off him for years he goes out of his way to be helpful If he says this feature is causing an issue and leaves customers stranded and him getting calls all times of the day - I believe him 100% and think he is doing the right thing. In 5 years I have never ever seen any bad feedback about Mark but Odense has managed to rubbish him over at least 3 boards totally unnecessarily. If you don't want the bike to vibrate whilst at the lights turn the e
  5. If it is Le Stroganoff I would recommend it highly.
  6. http://www.golfclubpattaya.com/site/index.php?option=com_contact&view=contact&id=1&Itemid=80 Google - even Bing is your friend Just asking - Why people are asking 'who will be up for a game?' if you are staying with a bar that organises golf days? Find January's schedule here to get an idea of what they do http://www.golfclubpattaya.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=211:golf-schedule-january&catid=44:schedule&Itemid=120
  7. Nope - I would suggest you e mail them on the site email - and ask for details
  8. The rooms at the Golf club are fine - there are no frills but there was everything I needed - Large room, in room safe, wifi,TV with a range of channels,DVD player good aircon and a fan - which I like as sometimes you don't need aircon but just need to keep things a little bit cooler. The best rooms are at the front with balcony - but you could find noise a problem if you are a light sleeper. The back rooms have very little natural light as the the rear building is close - but at least one of the back rooms has a mini kitchenette. Big plus is Western Management, big minus only 4 rooms
  9. I was in Misty's at last knockings and the quality of girls going home (to the Disco) was high - some nice talent remaining un barfined at the end of the night.
  10. Any more details - '19 golf clubs' is a fairly open description
  11. Brilliant - but as we know modern political correctness only works one way
  12. I have been told by a chef Asia does not have lemons - thats why you see lime's - their equivalent
  13. I used to use China Air to Bangkok and it was good value . However the Birmingham to Schipol leg was economy - no great loss you are only in the air 30 mins or so - and the Schipol to Bangkok, whilst called business was actually closer to enhanced economy. At around £750 I wasn't worried - if thats now £1300+ thats differnt.
  14. Did you hear about the Paper Bag Kid - he had a paper bag hat, paper bag jacket, paper bag holster and a paper bag saddle. Apparently he has just been arrested for - rustling. We could have a poll to see which of those is the worst.
  15. I have been looking at flights for next week and they have just dropped around £80 London to Bangkok - £580 with a few hrs stop over. I know Al Italia & Turkish are cheaper but Etihad is my fav. Also been looking for a mate end of July, had been £8 - 900 now £590 ish These are showing on Kayak, Opodo and Etihad's own website.
  16. I prefer Etihad - although I have not been on the A380. I seem to be on the older Airbus (340?) with Emirates and I think alot is about expectation- I expected a 5* airline from Emirates and didn't get it - I didn't expect lots from Etihad and found them really good. Oh and the current Emirates sale - the prices seem to have increased - obviously a Thai style sale
  17. Sorry - there is a four letter word there that would keep me as far away as possible from the venue. Has anyone else spotted it?
  18. It had moved further down 2nd rd just before Central Plaza I believe
  19. I reckon I could do that - the incentive being having to get on and off that fucking bike every time you drop one.
  20. Always found this site useful http://www.kayak.co.uk/flights?ispredir=true It tells you the best price obtained on certain days and put in the 'my dates are flexible +/- 3 days' it shows prices a few days either side of your preferred dates. For example the dates you were looking at 16/12 - 03/01 come out at £1211 but go 14/12 - 31/12 and £851 comes up. Admittedly its Air India but the times aren't too bad and £851 isn't too bad, bear in mind you are wanting to travel middle of high season. Qatar is another £80 and I would go with them - buts thats me. You could travel to S
  21. I thought X Zone was 20 yards off Walking St, a 2 minute walk from FLB am I mistaken??
  22. My recommendations would be The Golf Club Soi LK Metro or Rabbi Elephants Bar Soi Bukhow. Things do change but 6 months ago they were fine.
  23. If you are only playing once Phoenix used to have some really nice gear for hire. Phoenix is quite expensive but as a one off no more than a special lady for the night. Some of the bars hire golf equipment but this tends to be an assortment of odds and ends some of which you may have spotted on Antiques Roadshow. If you have just started the golfing bars will not appreciate someone shooting 150 plus mulligans on their competition days. If you need a bit of practice there are numerous ranges around Pattaya - Fairways is the best I have seen and they may be able to hire you stuff - p
  24. Sounds good - The only problem 'lifetime' deals in LOS is whose lifetime Yours, Tony's or the Gym's.
