does anyone know how to transfer

Thanks for that. I'll pop into the photo shop in South Pattaya Road with a couple of tapes to see how they get on. Alan -
View Talay units are sold as basic shells so unless someone has already fitted out a condo, you will have to do this yourself. There is also likely to be a lot of noise during the day until all the condos have been fitted out. Alan

That's correct. Joe. I applied for my fist annual extension in October 2005 but was only given until the end of August when I had last entered Thailand. Alan

Emirates also asked me about a visa when I returned to Thailand from Glasgow in June. Alan

Get an account with Skype, then it will just cost you 1.4p per minute (plus VAT!). You will need to use an internet cafe though. Alan -
But would you want to work for Niels "Patronising Bastard" Colov? Alan

I bought a wireless router from Wattana on Central Pattaya Road - opposite side from Carrefour and up a bit towards Sukhumvit. This plugged into my modem from TOT - have still to try it with my new TT&T internet connection. Alan

Construction work is taking place at Dubai Airport as a result of which some flights are parked at a stand miles from the terminal building. From touch down to reaching the terminal took me 25 minutes earlier this year. Because of this, they had started transferring passengers on my onward flight, which was also parked miles away, a full hour before the sceduled departure time. The first final call was made 10 minutes later. Work is expected to be completed by October this year but there could well be technical hitches for the first week or so. Alan

What tablets do you take for your blood pressure? A Thai version of atenolol is available here - 2 or 3 baht per table. They don't have the 25 mg version so I have to cut a 50 mg one in half, which reduces the effective cost. Bendrofluazide isn't available here but I was recommended to take dichlotride instead. They too are around 2 or 3 baht per tablet. My blood pressure is kept well under control with them. Alan

I don't know for certain but there are a number of furniture shops on Theprassit Road. They may be able to point you in the right direction if they can't help themselves. Alan

I only have in-patient coverage for that very reason. In 3 years, my out-patient costs have only come to a total of 10,000 baht - if that. Half of that was for an eye infection 2 1/2 years ago! Alan

Good one - and one I don't think I've heard before. Alan

I quite like visiting Udon Thani in November for 3 days. In view of the possibility of Nok Air's demise (I hope it's not the case), which other airlines fly from Bangkok (either airport) to Udon? Air Asia have one flight per day but I would prefer slightly earlier flights, particularly on the way back to Bangkok. Thai Air have, I think, 3 flights per day and because of their timings, I wll probably choose them in preference to Air Asia. I compared prices for Thai Air on www.travelocity.com with Thai Air's own web-site and the Thai Air site was considerably cheaper. Anyone know of a

I flew from Glasgow to Bangkok earlier this month with Emirates. I only had a 3 hour wait in Dubai. Edit in I've just looked at Emirates web-site and for a flight in July, the connection time in Dubai is still just under 3 hours from Glasgow. Alan

Just had a look at their web-site and you can't book any flights after the end of October! Alan

No - though I think their 1st class is. They do go quite a bit back though. From Bangkok to Dubai, I was in the same seat and didn't have a problem thought that flight had all 3 classes and may have been refurbished recently. From Dubai, the flight only had Business Class and Economy. Alan

On my last trip back to Scotland, I flew with Emirates and had to be bussed to and from where the plane was parked 3 times out of 4. It took an average of 25 minutes from actually landing to get to the terminal. In fact, on the outward flight, they had actually started boarding my onward flight by the time I got to the gate - and that was with a 2 hour transit time! I think I'll be avoiding Emirates until the construction work has been completed. Also, on the Dubai - Bangkok leg, the seat in front of me in Business Class was almost resting on my legs. It made getting up to go to the toilet

joekicker was spot on with what he said. The 30 days you are allowed when you arrive at the airport is NOT a visa - the permission to stay is issued under the Visa Waiver Scheme. Also, as far as I am aware, you cannot get a 15 day extension - 7 days is the maximum unless you have an actual visa. Alan

4. If people call me at 9.00 pm, I'll tell them to call me back in the morning as I'll be more interested in getting physical with a tg at that time of evening. And if they call me at 9.00 am, I'll be asking them why the hell they're phoning me in the middle of the night or yell at them for coitus interruptus. 9. I have to accept that I cannot live without my glasses but without sex? I aim to be the 90 year old who gets shot dead by a jealous lover. Alan

I know a tg who would be delighted to store it for you for a small fee - namely the cost of building a hotel on some land she's bought in Ayutthaya. Her Mafia friends will also be delighted to put the money to good use. I trust you won't object to them having the various receipts made it in your name. Alan

It's my brithday today as well, but I will have to pass as current regular tg has some ideas of her own for me tonight. Alan

There are a number of furniture stores on Theprassit Road, though I have no idea whether any of them have what you are looking for. Alan
-
I am confused by your question. What kind of visa do you have at present? Alan

I had heard about this before elsewhere. Wonder whether he'll bring his own Tart or hire one when he's in Soi 6? Alan
