New Holiday Inn on Beach Road North Pattaya
jimmac replied to ajweiss1's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Where on Beach Road will this Holiday Inn be located? By the way, does anyone have an opening date for the Hilton in the Central Festival Market? -
How do you come to that conclusion?

I have an occasional relationship with a P4P girl in BKK who has her own website but it's hosted by another provider. She wants to set up her own site and have a fan club feature which allows members access to photos for a monthly fee. She wants this on her own site as the site that currently hosts her grabs 50% of her revenue. This is what she says she wants: 'I just want somebody who will register my domain name, take care of the hosting stuff, and set up a commerce shopping cart, so that my fans can pay direct to me in my website, and thats all, just make it ready to use for me.'

Not sorted for me. I just signed in and had to sign in again. One of the great pleasures of opening Pattayatalk on your old system was that it remembered me on any one of 3 computers from any location and even after being offline for many days. No other board was so member friendly. Unfortunately the new system is a pain in the ass that now forces me to sign in more often than other boards. I hope you can fix it and get back to how it was.

Me too, they are cute ladies. There is one in particular I'd like to enjoy. I agree the restaurant is great as I eat there a lot when in Patts but I always stay at the Sandy Spring. The no smoking post is news to me. I'm a non-smoker but its my observation that the place always hosts half a dozen or so old French guys who sit and talk and chain smoke endlessly.

I wonder how much the prices will go up after renovation. Years ago I stayed at the Beach Hotel at Soi 2 which also had old, run down rooms but clean and no leaks. It was renovated a couple of years ago and is now an overpriced boutique hotel whose name I can't even remember.

That makes it like a fucking sardine can! It's beyond my comprehension how travelers can sing the praises of airlines like Emirates which pack 10 across seating into planes designed to be 9 across. I've never flown Emirates but I've checked the seating plans for their aircraft on the website (always a wise thing to do before you book) and I've seen the 10 across in economy on a 777. I would never fly them. I learned this the hard way when I once got stuck in Finnair on a transatlantic flight on an MD11 with sun charter layout at 10 across in economy. Never again!

Resize the photo please. And maybe the price too.

Thanks, Kaiser 71. I found David Pack's info on another site and I have been to see him twice and will again in an hour. He is similar to my chiropractor back home. I am on the mend and should be back to normal in a couple of days.
-
Bump. Anyone know of a chiropractor in Pattaya?
-
I am resurrecting this thread to ask if the chiropractor is still practising in Pattaya? Any updated info on a chiropractor in Pattaya would be appreciated. I am coming to Patts soon and my back is out. I use a chiropractor at home whenever there is a problem. Would be grateful of any info.

Luxury Bangkok hotels discounter website?
jimmac replied to Duracell22's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Try priceline.com. You should read a site called biddingfortravel.com (or something similar....you can google it) which includes reports on recent prices for specific areas so you can get a sense of what to bid on priceline. -
How Savvy Fliers Make the Most of Their Miles
jimmac replied to bigdelta's topic in Airline Discussion
That article is good advice. I've used points for 4 Bus Class trips to LOS in the last 5 years. That's real value. Don't piss points away on cheap domestic flights. -
Hybrid, are you sorry you asked? Isn't it interesting how few answer your question and how many moralising fuckers want to tell you how to bring up your child? You obviously make your own decisions and you should continue to do so.

Air Aisa 99 baht++ fares-int'l & 9 baht++ fares-domestic
jimmac replied to bigdelta's topic in Airline Discussion
Alan, since you live in LOS and I know from your posts you like to travel around you might want to consider a Discovery Airpass on Bangkok Air. It would cost you $100/coupon to and from Siem Reap but other coupons are cheaper. You need to buy 4 at a time but over a year you could plan one or two other trips in the Bangkok Air network. It might be worth looking at the options on their website. I used the passes earlier this year for Bangkok-Siem Reap and Bangkok-Luang Prabang and thought it was a good deal. Also join their FF plan and with the signing bonus and 4 flights you'll be about -
The answer to your question is undoubtedly the Sandy Spring is the better choice. But you should know they will charge you for wireless service which is available in the rooms. You may also have a challenge getting a reservation next month as the place is often full though maybe you've checked that already with them. I'd love to see a photo review of the Summer Spring from some-one.

I've used him more times than I can count and I've scheduled up to 3 pick-ups in one e-mail for a trip and never had any problems. I even use him from the airport to downtown Bangkok at 600 Baht because I can't be bothered chasing a car after arriving jet lagged and wasted from 24 hours travel. His driver is always where he says he'll be. I then use him for BKK-Pattaya and Pattaya-airport and never a problem. I think I've only had the same driver twice. He tells you in his reply where to meet the driver in the airport and it works. I recommend him!

Good report. But if you looked at the Lek and the Haven, did you consider the Sandy Spring which is next door to the Haven?
-
I understand the disco or live band music venue in the Conrad is loaded with freelancers although I've never checked it out.

Sybarite, please explain to me how another 4 or 5 star hotel is going to destroy p4p in Patts. Sukhumvit in BKK has more 5 star hotels than Pattaya could possibly attract in the next two decades and there is a thriving p4p scene in and around Sukhumvit and all those 5 star hotels are GF and there are lots of cheaper and affordable hotels and beer bars in the same area. Prices may rise a little but BKK is still infinitely more affordable than anything I know in farangland. Patts will be no different and it's going to take quite a while for Pattaya to catch up to BKK.

I had a low signal problem on the 8th floor on my last visit. But I e-mailed and talked to Ms Warin who is the supervisor at the desk who's usually there each morning. She had it fixed the first day and it was fine for the rest of my weeklong stay.

Starts in early November. Check the Cebu Pacific website.

Looks like they have carpet in the halls and tile in the rooms, the opposite of the Sandy Spring. It will be an interesting alternative to have a look at when I make it back to Pattaya in November. Please post the web link when you receive it.
