I can't believe an airline hasn't seen the feasability on this route. I seem to remember a few ago (2009 approx) there was talk of Thai running a non-stop service, but haven't heard anything since. Has there ever been a non-stop flight between these destinations??

Sorry but I have eaten here twice and it was poor. Good farang food at Golf Club, Pig and Whistle and Butchers Arms IMHO
-
Ive said it before but ive never been over keen on the food at PBG; an expansive menu but unremarkable scran. However I do think it is a great place to have a drink and does have smashing views on an evening

I just think that golfers think that we don't know why they are in Pattaya. Us mongers are here for the tash, so are they, but they chose to hide behind 'golf'. Anyway, thanks for that I will try the BBQ next time Im over and will perv at the Devils Den girls from an even better vantage point.....Devils Den. Cheers

Agreed, its the only way to do it. The Golf Club clientele not my cup of tea, Metro Bar much nicer

I just didnt like the food mate. Your right it isn't the place if your looking for gourmet food. I was looking for decent, basic farang food, and it still isn't the place. I stay in the Soi Diana/Boukow area and with Le Katai/ Devonshire seriously gone downhill I now have to nip over to the Pig and Whistle which is about the best farang food at a reasonable price in my experience. I understand Robins Nest has improved greatly of late so will give that a go on my next trip. Will also try the 18 coins again I suppose

Sorry but I ate there twice last March and it was poor

Areca Lodge, construction noise next door.

"A few months" is disconcertingly vague. I am due to arrive Oct 27th and have booked a room facing the site. Even if the pile driving is finished I am still face to face with a building site. Think I will change to a pool facing room -
Yep went to 18 coins twice last February and it is crap.

Regarding some BMs stating that the food can be a little bland. I dont think the chef adds salt in the cooking process so it is a case of season the food to taste. I like the China Garden, good food, good service in pleasant surroundings at a reasonable enough price.

And of course your avatar is perfectly acceptable. I suppose its 'only a laugh'. Make it more relevant and change it to Buddha or perhaps a central figure from the Quran, Muhammad for example. Hilarious

Its far far far far too hot and humid for golf. Bring your clubs to use as a prop if you need to but lets be honest, its all about shagging really.

What occurred on the baht bus explains why you lost your temper but does't excuse it. What does is that you have the grace to apologise. Nice one The English are sometimes accused of thinking they were born with a better pot to piss in- sometimes understandable when confronted with appallingly mannered dagos like the Russians and Arabs.

According to their website, Utoo re-opened on Wednesday 1st February at their new premises at Drinking Street. Anyone had the pleasure yet? This used to be a great bar a couple of years ago when it was based top of soi 3/4 area

Not at all. Its an interesting thread about Thailand

Fosters is shit, far too sweet IMHO, rarely see Budweiser these days, I used to like it out of a bottle but the draft was crap. I like Chang but it doesnt like me if you know what I mean
-
Its £10 a bottle in Asda at the moment. I know thats of no use but if you know someone setting off from the UK in the next week or 2 you couls ask them to bring a bottle. I wonder how much DHL would charge for a couple of bottles to Thailand, I believe they charge by weight rather than size of parcel

another bad experience with the Brits

Agreed mate. I like your thesis -
What are the biggest urban myths in Pattaya / Thailand?

Fucking hell classic Pattaya Talk, a really interesting and innovative post completely ruined by the know-it-alls and braggarts. -
I'm staying there at the moment. Nice refurb in room, new bed and new wardrobe, however, the crappy old televisions remain and the bathroom hasn't been touched and I mean the tiles havent even had a much needed re-grouting
-
Yes might have to mate. It would be nice to get hold of a decent snide though and save myself 45 sheets

I will ignore the irrational and psychotic reply. Still cant find this blasted shirt. Ive sort of promised my nephew it and am getting worried now. If anyone sees it please let me know. Cheers
