I can thoroughly recommend Dental Art Clinic. I have seen the female dentist there about 4 or 5 times and she is fantastic. Great prices and great after service, filling came out after 2 months, which was my fault for eating copious toffees; she refilled it, no charge. She will also go short time for 1500 thb. Joke.

Hi, are you opening tomorrow?
-
Any news on a possible re-opening of the fantastic Pattaya Beer Garden. Pattayapete said as soon as the business looks even remotely viable again we will reopen, so hopefully it will.
-
Wow, no replies in over 3 weeks, on surely the most important topic for any monger locked in at home. The board seems to be sinking faster than Pattaya itself.
-
Thanks guys, its all pretty conclusive so Im giving them a body swerve

Have any board members booked flights to Thailand with Dream World Travel? If so what are their experiences?
-
On Travel Supermarket, Dream World Travel are coming in cheapest, by some way, for my flight to BKK from Manchester late December for 3 weeks. Ive never heard of Dream World Travel so did a bit of Google work. The reviews are mostly poor so I sent an email to Travel Supermarket asking them if they are happy with DWT and if they do any vetting and/or if they are formally authorised. I was told to do my own research. Have any board members booked flights to Thailand with Dream World Travel? If so what are their experiences? Many thanks in advance

Under 300 Baht ... And Mediocre (Updated Jan. 15, 2020)
parry replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Each to his own opinion. I had the Sunday roast dinner here a couple of weeks ago and it was magnificent. It was the small dinner at 199 baht but was a real plateful of chicken and pork (could have had lamb or beef as well). I was told they had retained the Queens Arms chef. Conversely, I gave Chunky Monkey 2 visits and thought it was poor -
I take it this was a rumour with little or no substance?
-
Has there been a formal announcement of the introduction of this flight yet?

The 'Wentworth' breakfast at The Golf Club is about the best breakfast in Pattaya IMO. The only trouble is that its rather small and often you get a cigar smoking golfer blowing smoke around the place. Also excellent is Kilkenny, who do a superb full English including Heinz beans. I also enjoy the Continental Bakery German Breakfast which is essentially two lightly boiled eggs, crusty bread and a selection of hams and cheese.

Pattysteve Sorry just seen your post. Many thanks for that

I am much obliged.I don't know what the walk in rate is but on Expedia it is approx 1266 baht peak season, in comparison, the Areca Lodge is 2500 peak season plus a rip off 2200 compulsory gala dinner if you are there New Years Eve Butch Thanks bud. Ive seen the video and the rooms look nice

Please could somebody in town please pop in when passing and post the website and email address (If I book I will obviously do it through Agoda) There are a few sites/addresses on the web but none seem to be up and working and I want to do a bit of research before I book. Also, has anyone stayed at this hotel? If so, any thoughts/comments? Thanks in advance

Great American Sandwich Company on Soi Buakhao (Dec. 27, 2017)
parry replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Will definitely try this place on my next trip. I have enjoyed a Reuben from The Golf Club in the past, delivered to The Metro. I wonder how this compares with the genuine article... -
Bad At Any Price- Updated Aug. 9, 2017
parry replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Yep I agree with the above, Boat is cheap and cheerful. I have eaten there a few times and had the Beef Noodle Soup more than once and it has been fine to be honest. I seem to remember I had read Gabor enthusing about it so paid a visit myself. -
Under 300 Baht ... And Good! (updated July 4, 2022)

The steak at My Way looks good and seems to be a fair old size. I bet it looks even better when its cooked -
An amazing special at Retox Game On (hate that name, BTW)
parry replied to MM's topic in Restaurants and food
It looks a super steak no doubt about it. I had the special yesterday which was Steak and Guinness Pie with chips which was very nice (299 baht) It sounds like the steak MM had was/is the special on Saturday. Form an orderly queue then gentleman -
All American Hotdogs & Snow Cones: The weird combo

I had cheese on toast at that little 'transport' type café at the Boukow end of New plaza a few weeks ago. My mate had ordered eggs on toast and in the confusion I was presented with two slices of cheese on toast with a fried egg on each slice. I decided to keep it and put plenty of pepper on as usual. It was absolutely fantastic. -
At Bangkok Airport duty free cigarettes were 600 baht at Christmas. Does anybody know if this price has increased? Any recent purchases?
-
I thought the Jolly Friar had shut to be honest. I ate there a couple of times when it first opened. It was pretty dreadful especially the chips. South East Asia is not the place to go for good fish and chips but Frydays at New plaza is about the best in Pattaya IMHO. By the way, I would recommend www.magpiecafe.co.uk if you are anywhere near Whiby, North Yorkshire. They are the best fish and chips I've had. Ever

Ive only eaten at Palmers once and the chips were soggy and tasted of oil, They were that bad I never returned, many people rate it though.

I enjoy all the seasons. I have no aspirations to live in a dustbowl. Beautiful morning here in Yorkshire, about -1, bright sunshine and not a breath of wind. All the bushes and trees covered in white frost- absolutely fantastic

That omelette looks delicious. I quite like getting out of the City Centre for a spot of breakfast, I visited the Wolfhound at Pratamnak a few times on my last trip and will be trying Back Fabrik for sure.
