I feel like I'm finally getting over something I probably picked up a couple days ago after walking in some flooded waters on soi Buakhao. After not eating for 2 days and shitting every time I took a sip of water (I ran out of tp whilst I used the bum gun the whole time). I ended up puking one afternoon on a completely empty stomach That was fucking horrible. Then I had hold and cold spells all night. Good thing I'm not on one of those 4 day trips. H1N1???? nope.

Never, ever had issues with the staff whatsoever.

I think there are many ways we get scammed. I was at a "hole in the wall" type resto and ordered from a menu that had no prices. I ordered 3 typical items to go and my bill was 370. I knew they were just charging fallang prices and Thais would never pay that but what ya gonna do? Tonight I ordered at another resto and this time there were 2 of us and we also had 3 items plus rice as well as 2 cokes, a water and a mango shake. Total price was 290.

If you don't need a pool then try a new place just around the corner. (just behind the Family Mart on Soi Lengkee) It's called the Miracle house and it's less than 1000 a night. Prices are the same as quoted from drivers recently at the airport. Seems fair to me. The only time I felt truly ripped off in Cambodia was when I didn't get proper change from the immigration thief's.

I've never seen this rule enforced anywhere but if one loads up their plate and just leaves it then I have no problems if the restaurant chooses to charge for the uneaten portion.

Had a few steaks in Patts and most were average to poor. Au Bon Coin (Jomptien) does make a good steak but the best one was last week at the Beefeater. Their sides need some improvement however.

The place seems to be coming along nicely. Was there when it just opened and was very disappointed to see a communal towel in the restroom. It didn't take too long before it was replaced with a proper air dryer tho.
