Bali Hi Port raided by Soldiers
Idefix replied to Chester007's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Isn't "soldiers" a bit an excessive word to qualify a group of unarmed military ? -

BUDGET FARANG MEALS: 99bt specials, Malee S. Honey, your faves?
Idefix replied to capdagde's topic in Restaurants and food
Hi capdagde, I don't know this place, but the plates look nice and appetizing You may just remove the "Budget meals" from the title because - as said above - someone really on a budget can eat similar Thai food for far less, and would probably not visit any restaurant that offers farang food. Thank for the report -

Hi MM. I find that rather strange ?? At 99% this redirect is a set of "rewrite" rules added in your forum '.htaccess' IP.Board is rather safe (if you are up to date) so you should look on the modules/plugins you may have add. Protecting (chmod a-w) the '.htaccess' and the 'www' directory could help too. Is the directory used to upload images well protected and with no php allowed ?

Register your Thai Mobile Number or Lose it !
Idefix replied to Fireman Sam's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Hi. One more month delay for those who didn't register yet. More than 80% of SIM card owner have register it. Not bad Last chance for late 20%... From September it will not be possible for you to Send *and to Receive* calls or data The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) now allows users of cellular prepaid SIM cards another 30 days to register after the deadline for registration expired yesterday July 31. http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/nbtc-to-extend-registration-of-prepaid-sim-cards-till-august-31 -

Hi. I would not buy a TV online. TVs are large, heavy and fragile/brittle. Not something easy and cheap to send by post in case you need a reparation when on warranty. To the OP: I would look for frequent promotions at BiC, Lotus, PowerBuy or good local shops like NumChai. They all display their promotions online http://corporate.bigc.co.th/en/promotions/ebrochure/ http://corporate.bigc.co.th/bigc/file/page_img/21774.jpg https://www.numchai.com/blog etc.

Idefix replied to Fireman Sam's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Hi. Don't forget that - officially - you have until the coming Friday to register your SIM card(s) or you could no more make calls from August 1st. You can check your phone registration status : *151*9# -
I don't see any problem here; Walking Street is probably several km from the nearest such higher education school.

Check my TV streaming site for me.
Idefix replied to jacko's topic in Technical problems or questions.
Hi Jacko. Looks like I have the same problem. I launched the BBC News stream and it worked fine... about 4 minutes, then the video froze. No way to re-launch it. I had to reload the page. I made a second try. About 4 minutes too then frozen again . Look like a bug somewhere. So be happy, it's not only you Less than 3'000 baht for a Minix Neo X6. Less than 2'500 is you buy online. -
Marathon Sunday, Buddha Days Monday & Tuesday
Idefix replied to Evil Penevil's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
And as every year... July 19th 2015, Sunday's Marathon: Nota: You can see people running on both directions There are in fact 3 races: - Marathon (42.195 Km), started ~4AM - Half Marathon (21.1 Km) started ~5AM - Quarter Marathon (10.55 Km) started ~6am These firsts pics were taken at about 6:20am and most people are amateurs running the short 10km one. The first pros (Kenyans ) already finished the full Marathon ! Let's Run Walking Running Street :) Traffic had no priority. (How many big busses do you count? ) This small hill to Bali Hai Pier was a killer for many already tired runners. Beach Road. Final line . About 1km left. Arrival at Central Festival (at The Hilton on this pic) -

[out of subject] - There are many remote control (Aircon, TV, HiFi...) at the shop underground of Tukcom - Also at the Tuesday-Friday market, in the North area of the roofed part, a seller with many cheap remotes, and who knows (for most?) which ones are compatible [/out of subject]

MM: Same product on AliExpress : ~97 baht, free shipping http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-Universal-LCD-A-C-Muli-Remote-Control-Controller-for-Air-Condition-Conditioner/32276494956.html I only order once from AliExpress. It took about 1 month to arrive ! and it's a selling website for many different "shops" not all reliable. You must look carefully their rating and feedbacks before ordering. Banggood send products from its own warehouses. If you can order, they have the product in stock and they are quick to send it.

Hi Delivery from online shopping works rather well I think: Only bought once from Lazada, and I think I got it after 4-5 days Often buy now from http://www.banggood.com/ (mostly China) and it takes about 7-10 days to arrive Pattaya, with some really cheap prices One packet took more than 2 weeks though ?? Forgot somewhere by some post employee Edit: For MM: http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-CHUNGHOP-K-1028E-Universal-LCD-A-or-C-Remote-Control-for-Air-Condition-p-58270.html : 139 baht, free shipping

Hi. I arrived yesterday in my "15 days before due reporting date period" and I choose to make this report online, to test it So: - http://www.immigration.go.th/ - click on "Apply for Notification ... 90 days" (bottom of page) -> https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online Then the procedure as described on page 1, + a form for Visa Information & Address I used Internet Explorer. No problem I made it at 8am. At 4pm I received an email "Notification 90 days is Approved" I came back on the site and got my "Receipt Of Notification" to print and put in passport. Fast & Easy PS: I will add pictures ASAP.

He said "Big C", so his idea surely is to avoid the trip to the DLT I don't know about the one in South Rd Soi 4 but there are several such control centers on Sukhumvit. I know one between South & Central Rd going North, and another one between Central & North Rd still going North.

From post #17 of this discussion: "[ 15 days - 7 days ] before due date"

Thanks for the report TallGuy. Not many from Pattaya already. Good it worked for you. :)

Pictures taken today at the now closed parking at the South end of the Beach, along Beach Rd, not far from Walking Street entrance.
