Overmind and DClub are Not in the same buildings. Before being DClub it was Tiger during years (mainly agogo but a tomboys place its last season). So DClub is not where Overmind was, and Overmind is where Shark used to be. Ok? Among the short-life agogo, Atlantis Agogo that replaced Paris Agogo in Soi Diamond and lasted maybe one month. Also the agogo on the right of Covent Garden in Soi 16 saw many agogo attempts in its last years: Taboo, BabeWatch, Black & White, X-zone 2, Sin City, Relaxxx... most of them just for a few months. Not sure how long lasted Byblos, at Soi Diamond & Second Rd ? I remember a XXX agogo (?) in Soi 15, about then years ago, next to Nui's or Baby Dolls (?) Another agogo attempt (name?) where is now the Russian Red Square, bottom left of access to The Pier (was Polo) Vodoo also not lasted more than one season And I am sure many other!

Doesn't seem to be of so bad quality IMHO, but just not intended to resist the weight of the "monsters" that sit on it every day...

Hi I am unsure on the accuracy of such devices. You cadence doesn't change much but the length of your steps change a lot depending on what kind of ground you walk on. I know some people are happy with Apps using their phone's GPS, but you said not an option for you As you say you walk daily, I think you should have a good idea of your average walking speed, and then the walked distance. It's what I do. A good way to estimate/calibrate your speed, is to draw one of your daily route on Google Earth to know its exact length. Hi. There are regularly people asking if we can walk between Pattaya and Jomtien by following the seaside. My last answer on this was: "Yes you can ... most of time... The only important thing to know is that you *cannot* walk the small bay from Royal Cliff Terrace to Roya Cliff Garden (the most North bay) in case of high tide, or in case of strong wind & waves. There is no place left between the water and the hotels' walls and it could be dangerous to walk on them. No problem at medium or low tides." Problem is that tides in Pattaya (and in the full gulf of Thailand) are very irregular, very far from the nearly periodic 13-hours period we have in Europe. Below is the graph for Yesterday and next week: You can see that we have like only 1 high-tide and low-tide every 24h! and low tides on this period are only in late evening, not ideal for a seaside walk It could be possible to make the walk at the end of the afternoon, but all this week we had rather strong wind that would make some places very wet, if not risky . See this pic from 2 days ago: So today I used the only available window (06:30) to try this walk despite a still rather high tide. (See red circle on the graph above). Before posting some pics I can already tell you: Yes, it's do-able! but Don't do it with such a tide (2.20m)! It would force you to use some "dangerous" paths that could be avoid with a tide 1.50m or below. There is also a lot of green algae on some upper rocks, making them slippy. You don't have this problems at low-tide. Now let's go...

From what I have read, I see this as an extended O-A visa. It's a Visa, not an extension, and then not managed by the same Thai administration. No reason IMHO to see any change in the Extensions rules, so I don't really understand the newspaper article above ??

No, sorry, the rule is "800k during 3 previous months" and they are very strict about it. Do you have any kind of revenue that could make 350k on 1 year? If so, you can get a letter from your Embassy and use the "combo" method: 450 + 350 = 800 :)

If you look for a quiet promenade (no road, no traffic), along the beach & sea, in a nice place with many plants and trees and with lot of shadow, you will like Krating Lai Beach (today was a very hazy day...) It's about 10 km north from Walking Street, 4 km north from Bangkok Pattaya Hospital The most frequent access is through Sukhumvit Pattaya Soi 6/1, but you can access the other end of the promenade through Soi 8 and will have an easy access to a U-turn on Sukhumvit to return to central Pattaya Location on GoogleMaps
