I lived in that complex for 3 months. How do you figure 5 minutes to Walking Street? You couldn't drive there in 5 minutes w/o traffic.

I had a Pinay g/f for nearly a year in '08-'09.We enjoyed our time together but after 10 months or so,the conversation turned to the inevitable,"where is this relationship headed" topic. We cared deeply for one another but she wanted a family and that was the last thing I wanted to start at 58 y.o. So things went downhill from there and she left. She had supported herself teaching prior to us meeting and continued to work when we were together. Funny that it was mentioned that Pinays look so similar to Thais and very often, she was greeted inThai. We eventually both got tshirts that read "I'm not

There you have it indeed. Why would I NOT recommend it if nothing has changed since my last visit?Haven't endured any issues with new mgmt and there is no construction, why not continue to use it?Sell the unsellable?LOL Nothing is "unsellable" here. Not sure what timeframe a yonk is but until I personally see a change or 1 is proven here,I'll continue to recommend & use it.

How busy is the week PRIOR to Christmas?
bigdelta posted a topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I have never visited around the Christmas holiday but I assume it's busy.I am considering a week stay around Dec 15-22 or so.Definately back home NLT Dec 23. It's funny because I lived there for 15 months and I guess I didn't pay attention since I wasn't mongering. -
Nothing like dry pizzas. When will there be pizza/tomato sauce on pizzas in Thailand? The toppings and crust are good but need some sauce. This has been a gripe of mine since my 1st one there.

Perfect example of the expression "night & day difference". -
Do you spend many nights alone in Pattaya?
bigdelta replied to Butch's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
More as I get older.I find I have to pace myself more now and not just in bed. -
Maybe those compalints are enough to dissuade them from returning.Good for me.Their occupancy rate is very high and there have been times, outside of holiday periods, when rooms aren't available.I haven't stayed since the new folks took over but it will continue to be my 1st choice until proven otherwise. And I will continue to recommend it.

HTTPS is always a good start.

Really? The OP asked a question.

4 years is 2 lifetimes in the airline industry.Hopefully they have done their due diligence and added a flight that will have a load factor sufficient to generate a profit.

One way.P888 is peanuts.

Thanks for supporting my pension check!

I wish Ol' Somchai would extend the hours to 12 MN.How many int's flights arrive after 9PM with connections at DMG,either that evening or early the following morning. Also, how many will arrive at DMG for a late BKK flight. He also didn't include what the travel time would be-an aid in planning a connection. But all in all, good news.

Just received an e-mail from Cebu Pacific that says Cebu -Bangkok-NEW! P888 So an alternative to Clark and Manila.

Many smaller cities in the US,like MIAMI,have honorary consulates, usually at a law office. The Miami location, actually in Coral Gables, was only open 1 day a week for 4 hours or so.They have recently relocated to another law office nearby and they are open 4 days a week for 4 hours each day. Retirement O visas are ONLY available in Washington DC,NYC,Los Angeles & Chicago. thaiconsulatemiami.com

Montana Court Hotel Soi 13/3
bigdelta replied to keyman's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Is noise an issue there, considering it's adjacent to Beach Road? -
Good news then about Thai Smile.Thanks.

Adding another carrier between Bangkok and PNH would be good.Maybe Thai and Bangkok Airways will evenyually get the idea their fares are absurdly high.Plus Air Asia could use competition on that route.I wonder which direction Cambodia Ankor Air will choose fare-wise.

If they do,I haven't seen it.I believe Kim posted here I think advising folks of the condos. But he was a new poster IIRC.

Condos.Sorry,I should have been more specific.

From my experience in the industry, giving away a passenger to another airline is the last resort for several reasons.First of all,the fare you paid on your airline is generally lower than the fare your company will pay for a seat on another airline to accommodate you. So,they lose the revenue AND have to pay a premium to the next carrier to move you.We went through this for many years until the airlines got together and (mostly) agree not to screw each other in these situations, thereby allowing us to rebook on any available carrier. There were some glaring exceptions though. Also,if you were on

Dr Kim and Boem have both gone into the leasing business.I hated to see them go as they were always available if need be and fine folks outside the hotel also.Boem was a doll. I would have to say the new bldg will have to be between the existing bldg and the street in front.I can't imagine how loud it will be as the separation isn't that much. It's my hotel of choice but I can't imagine staying there during construction as I am not an early riser and they usually get going much earlier than I do.
