Ramster, you will have no problem getting around. Find a map on a Pattaya website and print it. The people in the tourist industry will speak some english, writing down stuff in english may not help you out, as the Thai people read and write thai. The street signs are in english. The restaurants menus are written english, and have pictures, you will certainly not starve. The baht bus is the form of public transportation, catch a bus that is pointing in the direction that you are going to and just say the name of the place ex: mike mall and they will take you there, for 10 baht. I just got the reply from the Apex, they are booked. They were #3 to reply, Bay Breeze was #2 to reply (they have rooms available), Tims beer bar same same as #2. Tims only had small rooms for 400bt M_H

Anyone have the email for the Bay Breeze Hotel ? And is it true the TGs dont like the AC at the Apex hotel because of the noise? I am planning on staying in Pattaya for a month and when I get there, I will probally move away from the Penthouse and find cheaper accomodations. I am seeking the 500 to 600 baht range M_H

I have to agree with Pat809 and Sammy. With the internet, everyone knows how to find information, they all use the search engines. It is unnessasary to use someones board for "getting hits" on a portal, or single information page. I would also like to note that there are links to pornography in pattaya.lap.hu that someone could find if they were under the age of 18 Therefore it may not be a good idea to link out from the open forum, since it may be accessed from someone under the age of 18yo. BTW the web page pattaya.lap.hu is # 50 in google. I did the search, out of curiosity. I am a commercial webmaster and have several business websites running. M_H

I went to Japanese school after seeing my friends pick up girls and TCB with them in less than 1/2 an hour(for free). They speak fluent japanese, and clued me in on how they opperate. I am still fishing for the J-girls though, my japanese is vely rousy Lucky that most of them speak engrish M_H

I booked my room at the penthouse, 2 months in advance, January is part of the busy season. Most places have higher prices at that time. "up to you" if you want to bounce from hotel to hotel after flying for hours to get to Thailand. M_H

My favorite restaurant I ate at quite a few times was the one at the penthouse hotel, I never got sick there, and the Thai style food was good enough for my TGs. It was not the cheapest, but we never got sick M_H In less that 33 days, I will be trying the food carts that were recommended, and the Boat Bakery.....its right up the street from the penthouse Maybe I'll try the water beetles too ???

Accyboy, unlike my fellow boardies, I suggest skip Bangkok and head straight for Pattaya. I was uncomfortable in BKK but I was at home in Pattaya. Join the members board and read the trip reports, there is a wealth of info there. As soon as I land in BKK(45 days), I am going straight to Pattaya...........and when I am going home, its straight from Pattaya to the BKK airport. Your Baht will go a longer way in Pattaya, Bangkok is more expensive Once you get the hang of things, and how the deal goes, then by all means go to Bangkok. Its more expensive there and more of a big city, I am from Hawaii and feel very much at home in Pattaya M_H

The locals pay 10bt and the falang too There are many internet cafes in Pattaya, I doubt that you will have any time to mess with your laptop, when you have a thai girl. Most places have safety boxes behind the front desk. M_H

I emailed Eastiny place and they had rooms for 900bt a night, thats kinda high (normal 750bt), but I am paying $20 US at the penthouse. M_H

The price changes by the week. Ex: from Hawaii Dec 12 to Dec 22 $815.00 From Dec 23 to Jan 4 $761.00 I am flying on Jan 18 for $530.00 the low season price. I would try to get prices maybe 3 months in advance or earlier? M_H

I am going solo to Pattaya from Bkk on the 19th at 5:00pm or so not including Thai immigrations maybe 1/2 hour so 5:30pm I am looking to take a metered taxi or 1000bt taxi + tolls for the highway. M_H

I had the premier or the pattpong for around that price, I am going back in January and going for the manila room $20.00 No need to over do it in the next time. My room had the huge shower, which didnt mean anything, as my TGs always wanted to shower alone(probally to wash the pussy very clean). Make sure that you tell the TGs to not touch anything in the fridge or bar, Penthouse has too much crap that is for sale in the room. I am planning on a solo trip for Jan 17 to the 30th staying at the penthouse hotel, airfare for me is around $500 to $565 from Hawaii, its cheaper than flying to the mainland US M_H I just paid for my air tickets, it was $520.00

If you really want to mess around, you can download a copy of Eudora mail, it will let you send an email using anybodys email address, the TG will think its an email sent by her falang. As posted in the past, M_H is a pass cracker and knows lots of tricks, this is one of them. I sent an email to test my TG to see if she really quit working the bar and went home to mother. I had "her falang" ask for her address to send a gift I am not sending her any money, but just want to know if she is a really good actress or not.
