Surely the " sizeable space with tables and chairs outside of the bar " is the rest of the world and not therefore part of the rental agreement .I also read all 3 of the Explanations of key money and my observations are ,that key money is to be paid so you get a cheap rental,at least below market value,but i see no value in the rent for such a small space which is expecting a further 12000 baht a month as well as the 200000 baht key money.I presume that the current "owner" wants to close up and go home without having to pay up his lease ,so who would the 200000 baht go to ,Him or the buildings owner,if him then he needs to lower his sights(as far as I am concerned) ,and if the building owner then surely the present rental period should be covered by a previous Key money "donation". Anyway you slice it I am no longer even slightly interested at these figures.

There is a good Charity book shop called Thais for life,it is just of soi 17. Travelling towards Jomtiem on second rd from the bottom end of South Pattaya rd it is the first turning on your left,go up this road until you see the Kodak shop(hard to miss as its bright Orange)turn right ,there is a family mart shop at the junction turn immediately right and then first left and the shop is on the left .They charge 80 baht for all books and allow half back as a credit when you exchange books you have bought there.They claim to have 40,000 books in many languages, but mainly english and also have DVDs for sale.I hope this is a help to you and anyone else who reads but wont pay the inflated prices some second hand bookshops in Pattaya charge.

Try the Pattaya condo forum .The NIrun and 9 karat condos should be all right for you and you can get them for 5000 baht and up a month.Dont let the Rich gits get you down, as Pattaya on a budget is miles better than Essex on the same budget.Just got back from a 3 month stay at the 9 karat which has a realy big pool and electricity at 5 baht a unit when booked through the condo management but you can get lower prices on line from some owners.

Three questions,What do you get for this "Key money", why are there no comfortable seats in the bar,don't you want people to come in and sit or are you (and loads of other bar owners)trying to move your customers on quickly.Seriously whats with the uncomfortable seating arrangements in so many Pattaya bars.And finally Where is the other 20 sq m of your bar as I can only see about 30 sqm in your pics.

Of course I look down on you,your manner is obnoxious and you seem to favour the fuck off attitude that makes many Thai businesses poor when supposedly being a service industry.When you make statements like you do, then expect critisicism.If you change your attitude then people might just cut yo a break,but keep on as you are going and you will get nowhere with forigen punters who expect good service even if the the prices are low .

I stayed here on my first night (monday7th june) in a small room for 380 baht and whilst it was not the Hilton it was reasonably clean of a useable size and right in the thick of things.I know some need better standards than this but,I feel it is a good place at a good price for the cost concious.I was well looked after by one of the owners even though it was fairly late when I rolled up.

I had a quick look at some boozeand it looks to be the same price maybee a little lower,but BE WARNED if you are carrying any liquid(more than 100cc) duty free the Indians will not let you take it through check in even if, AFAIK, it is in a sealed duty free bag from heathrow.This happened to a few of the people on my flight.

I arrived on a Kingfisher flight,LHR MUM BKK,on an airbus 330 last monday .I was quite happy with the flight and the price.Much was said about Mumbai airport being really bad,but I did not think it was as bad as some have said.the food and drink on the plane was great ,I had the Indian food,The drink was on tap and on the LHR MUM leg the seat back entertaqinment was OK.The Mumbai BKK leg was on a much smaller plane (airbus 320)and had it been full It would have been a poor trip as the seating was much less comfortable,having said that there were only about 30 passengers on the flight and we all had a full row of 3 seats.All in all the flight was IMHO well worth the £427 I paidPS on the LHR MUM leg the flight attendants were very fit and would attract a good BF in Pattaya.

So you want a litle over £400 for a 2nd hand laptop.I checked the prices and find that new in the USA they are$529 which is at todays exchange rate£366.Are you mad or do you think your customer might be.

I brought my sons Xbox last year in the hope it could be fixed at a reasonable price.I just brought it in my suitcase and no one asked.I was still not worth getting it fixed so I left it with someone who said they could give it to a charity.

The summer promotion looks very good ,BUT,how good is it with no actual prices on show so you can compare.

I don't think it has sold as I believe the OP would tell us just to prove his price was a good one.I like many on here don't think that was a good price then and its even less good now.

After having told me that I could get a full refund they called me up the next day and announced that they were no longer allowing this and it would now cost me £100 to cancel.The Airline(Kingfisher) seems to be the one playing hard ball as travelocity have said they will not add on their usual £45 fee for changes so I get the cancelation for "just" £100.

I was looking at going to The phillipines but they were showing prices that started at £550 for returns 23 may -21 august BKK to Manila.What the fuck is up with that.I was coming to Pattaya for 3 months so thought that I could travel on wards to Manila for the same time but they wanted more for that much shorter journey than I paid for my London - BKK trip PS They wanted over £700 for a one way ticket on I think China airlines.

thanks for al the replies and help,My problem is that I have a 3 month fixed date ticket (was very cheap)and whilst I might have tried some of the stuff advised ,like Manila,I cant really do that for 3 months as I go to pattaya to see mates and that is why I now go, mainly.I am at the minute on the phone to Travelocity ,and have been on hold for about 20-25 minutes still waiting.I will post more-------------------- Now they have answered but put me on hold again whilst they check my details.--------------- At last they have answered me and the good news is that they will refund the full price of my ticket so I have canceled .I hope I can go next month but wont hold my breath.

Are you sure you can't get your money back? I think some airlines are offering refunds even though they don't need to. Who are you flying with? Kingfisher. Do You have any info on them or any idea how I can get any info.I have tried the web but nothing I have found is so far relevant.

If I cancel my ticket to LOS (this saturday)I know as its a cheap ticket I cant get my money back,but can I get a refund of the Tax as it will not be paid as I am (probably) not going.
