I must admit its been a few years(5 or 6 years) since I last ate in CDs and it will be an even longer time before I eat there again.I love a greasy spoon but I like the food to be at least edible and I left quite a bit of the only breakfast I had there,the sausage was awful the bacon was almost all fat and the rest was swimming in fat.I can say that the black pudding was the best I have tasted in Pattaya but as it was not good enough for me to buy it at home even that would not entice me into his establishment again.

Please people get a sense of humor.If I had thought this was a real story I would not have put it in the funnies section.

Hi ,Its been a while since I last stayed there but, The Lek had a good sized pool and was fairly quiet as well as being a reasonable price.Its on the corner of Soi 13 and 2nd rd and right amongst the action.

You could always try the 9 karat condos ,which are just before the Nirun condos .They are larger than Nirun(32 Sqm rather than 26 Sqm) but are cheap at about 7-8000baht a month.there are loads of places at 5000baht or lower a month but would you really want to stay there.There are two blocks of flats in the side rd next to Excite Disco both of which have condos at about 3500-5000baht but have no AC only fan rooms.These places dont have web sites just on site management so just go in and ask but they are mainly Thai occupied.

I live in the Uk I have never had AC I dont particularly like AC and when in Pattaya I do not use AC even though I come to pattaya in the summer months.Some like it some dont.At the quoted price I would be in like flynn if it had a pool.

I agree ,I stayed there for 2 holidays and I watched that buffet get handled for hours by everyone as well as getting flies all over it.It would be safer and probably more hygenic to eat at the roadside stalls.

This might well be a symptom of diabetes but it is not one I had heard of,but dont worry about my health as I get 2 eye exams every year to 18 months.The reason I asked my questions,which still havn't been answered,is that I was diagnosed Diabetic (type2)almost 10 years ago and I have no real problems going to Pattaya.I was wondering why it should be so hard for someone not long diagnosed.

Hi what kind of diabetes do you suffer from?Type 1 or 2.are you insulin dependant ?have you other problems?the answer to these questions is important as many people,including myself, have diabetes and live in most cases normal lives and in some cases ,like Sir Steve Redgrave,incredibly active lives.Diabetes should not stop you from coming to Pattaya and should not stop you enjoying lidfe to the full.If on the other hand you have other problems let us know if you want real advice on a Pattaya holiday.I only know of one eye problem with Diabetes and that is Glaucoma,but I thought that it could be treated quite easily.

Hi Calumny,I should point out that I am not at this time in the market for your or anyone's bike,but I would never respond to an ad that had so little detail as I believe that ads that do not put up front all the relevant details are in some respect dodgy.In the same vein I would never apply for a job that did not post up front the wages as in the past I have done so only to find out that the wages in these jobs have always been lower than the average and much lower than I would have been willing to take, costing me time and effort,as well as costing the advertiser the same.Telling prospective customers that it they who have to go out of their way to find out basic facts is counter productive and frankly stupid.

Hi I was told earlier this year that the reason my Wi-Fi was so poor is that Thailand only allows a lower power transmitter than those in the USA and UK.Is this true? and if so was his statement that they are going to be upgrading the Wi-Fi power this(next)year to what we in the UK and USA use also true?.

There is ,or was in August,a Donner kebab place in New Plaza just of 2nd rd .I love lamb donners so I like it others might not.They are priced at 69 Baht and were for me at least great.

I stayed at the Lek some time ago and spent a lot of time watching the food being dive bombed by flies and handled by everyone who passed along the table.I would rather eat fresh cooked food from the street carts than the Buffet at the Lek,though I suppose that thier buffet is no worse than anywhere else.

I allways ride a motorbike in Pattaya ,I could not be there if I didn't, as My Arthritis makes it very difficult to walk very fa,r so a bike is vital to my holiday enjoyment.

Look in the customer complaints web sites and you will see an awful lot of bad marks for Air India.Due to this I flew with Kingfisher instead.

I too endorse this place and t a shave there every scond day I am in town. PS they do use new blades for every customer.

Hi Logan,I have no doubt that you can find what you wanted in Canterbury tales ,and I am glad you think the prices are good,I don,t think the prices you quoted for second hand books are good as I almost never buy books (even second hand) but get them from my local library , so any price that is put on them is in my opinion generaly too high.When in Pattaya I generally swap a few boks in the various bars that offer a free swap service and as I read quite a lot I save myself some baht in the process.

I ate B/F here on the first day of mystay and on the last ,12 weeks apart,and the difference was stunning.The fist B/F was great and all that was advertised,unfortunately the B/F I had on the last day was awful.I looked at the plate and thought that I was getting US style bacon as it was black and looked hard ,but no it was black but so slimey I left it all on the plate and ate the rest which was OK but The Bacon ,if that is what the black slimy mess was,gave me the distinct impression that it was something leftover that they wanted rid of and I got it .NO return visit from me
