Pattaya launches B160m facelift to boost tourism

Surely the biggest issue with Pattaya and Jomtien beaches is ..the water quality ! Not even mentioned in this report. Possibly , after 6 months of empty hotel and condo rooms not spewing excrement into the gulf, the water quality might be quite improved. Have to admit I did swim several times at Jomtien, after they closed my condo pool, but they soon put a stop to that too ! In the 4 years I've lived here ,plus previous visits ,I'd never swum at either beach, preferring to go to Koh Larn for a day trip whenever I felt the urge to swim in the sea ( or Koh Chang for a few days ) Sent from -

Living in Pattaya , I guess my situation is a little different than many. On my 2020 travel agenda was . 2 trips to Philippines , same as every year ( 1 of which is a Songkran escape ) A trip to NZ for a long planned family reunion that my brothers had put an enormous amount of work into. A trip to Perth WA for sons 40th birthday ..and a grandkids catch-up Regardless of missing all that I feel I would have rather have been here in Pattaya during the pandemic than almost anywhere else. It's been relatively painless, with lots of freedom of movement, access to necessities of life, warm wea

Songkran in Pattaya "cancelled"
gus in cebu replied to Butch's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Agree with all . I did see that throwing water from the back of pickups has been banned , so that would cut out a lot of the Thai youths. That's seems to be their chosen MO . Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk -

[quote post="1260539" timestamp="1576575164" name="Butch" I have never been refused a BB Visa when I've asked, and only once was I actually not given one. I could arguably put that down to the number of stamps I have in my PP, but I would hedge my bets on the immigration officer not really giving a shit whether I have one or not. So the generalized comment ..in your original post ..just ask for a BB and you'll get one is not correct .. You forgot to add ..have a long history of visitation , including previous BB stamps .. but , that's still not a guarantee .. This topic is regularly disc

This is absolutely incorrect. Balikbayan is not a visa , but, a privilege . A privilege granted to a spouse or family member of a Filipino . Not girlfriend/fiancee ! The act states the husband/child must be arriving with the Filipino citizen . Sent from my Mi A2 Lite using Tapatalk
