  1. Quick one Don what type of computer do you have and what is the operating system? I know some of the Acer VT1000 had a bad batch of them put out, which caused the problems you describe. Fix was basically to tape the DVD drive to the mother board.
  2. 705.6 so pretty middle ground from the looks of it.
  3. Thanks Philippo, I have stayed there many times before but never in a superior room so was wondering if it was worth the extra bahts. Also when we stay we normally have a few friends/family to the room so a normal room can get a bit cramped at times. As for negotiating the price you are right the web prices are too high and I always let my Thai wife negotiate before we stay anyway Cheers, Kev
  4. Nope everything seems to work fine for me and I like the new colurs MM. Well done!
  5. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has stayed in a superior room at the Baybreeze and how does it compare with the standard room please? I stayed in the suite once when it was 1200 baht but the price is just BS now. Also any updates on the room refurbishments lately there? Cheers, Kev

    Kiwis

Hey I like that a kiwi who knows his fellow countrymen well :)
  7. Try Baybreeze, Soi Honey Inn. When we stayed lat year the rooms on the 6th floor were being refurbishment and quite nice for the price so you may want to check that you are getting a refurbished room when checking in. Also the pool was being refurbished at the same time. Not sure about brekky included though but has everything else.
  8. Thanks for that Tom, oh well it looks like it will be a boring 4 hours enroute to BKK. Might just have to buy a can of coke and crack open the duty free :) Not looking for a massage or anything Tom, the missus is more than capable of looking after me in that regard. Cheers.
  9. Do ya get vegimite on toast as well????

    3 RAI FOR SALE

Price and photo maybe would help.
  11. I got them for myself and the misuss from Perth (Oz) to KL then KL to BKK for $800 two people (that included meals, big baggage, seat selection). Never been to KL so 3 questions please: Does airport have bars? Does a Thai national require a visa to stay there for 2 days? Any good KL forums? Many thanks, Kev
  12. Fuck me Rick LT 300 baht, ST 100 baht. That must have been quite a few years ago
  13. Yesterday in Perth it was 39.7 and today's forecast is 40 C. Whooo Friday arvo in the pub, go home have a few more beers while sitting in the spa. Shit I love summer :)
  14. Happy birthday Jeff, On the flipside I can't understand people wanting to live where you can cook an egg on the footpath
  15. Exactly which later tonight will we get filled in please
  16. I stayed there in early Oct, yes some of the rooms were being renovated. We stayed in two rooms on the 6th floor which had been rennovated. The pool was also being retiled and fixed up. The suite has also been redone but the price they wanted for that was absolute BS. The price they charged us for a 2 week stay was 600 baht per night a room, but my thai missus got that price, they quoted me 700 bahts. Cheers, Kev
  17. Last Sep I was in Pattaya and had a 4 tooth bridge (basically two caps over old teeth and two falsies) put in at Bangkok Pattaya International - cost me 33,000 bahts but back here in Australia was going to cost me $3,000 AUD just for the one tooth bridge. It was all done over 3 appoitments within 10 days, great service and the appointment time was the ime you saw the dentist not waiting for hours after the appoitment time.
  18. xen, Just on the Thai traditional meds. Last trip the missus forgot to buy some of the Easse Tea (laxative tea), do you think there will be any prob if we get her sister to buy some and post it back? Cheers, Kev
  19. Number 3 photo would crack her face if she smiled!!
