Last time in Pattaya a bottle of Sam Song was about 275 baht. At swampy the same bottle was 340 baht, so called duty free. As I see it, because there is only one duty free operator more of what I see is a rip off. If you want a bottle of booze while in Pattaya I suggest you go to the place across the road from the old Topps market, corner of Second Road and Klang. Prices here are very good and save you the hassle of hauling your booze around. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

And they say that the NHS is going through "Hard Times"! -
Have a look on Google and it might surprise you how hard it to use this option.

Am I right in thinking that the place was flying for a while then closed down for safety reasons! That was perhaps 7/8 years ago so they may have got it right by now. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

It would be good to get some feedback on the quality of the software sold at Tucom and if there are any problems with it. I am using an open office application for instance but would rather use MS Office if the quality was good. What would you expect to pay for a copy from Tucom? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

I guess that my comments were directed to what I see as being the average age of the forum. My guess is over 50 rather than the 30 you mention. I am facing this type of thing in my seventies so I have a slightly more jaundiced approach to it. People that I am aware of who have had any knee surgery tend to be older and all my feed back tells me that knees are tricky beasts.

I have not had this procedure done but have been paying attention as it could be on the cards at some stage for me. One thing I would always try to do is have this at home whatever the cost or the wait list. From what I hear you might need support, and not just crutches, for quite a while. I would also think that having a conducive place to recover in would be essential. Things such as a wet room shower and on a single story etc. Knee surgery as far as I can understand is not for the faint hearted.

Check my TV streaming site for me.

I tapped on this link and no issues however I notice that there is no Film on 4. I quite enjoy some of the old movies and therefore I logged on using http://www.watchfreeview.com/and Film on 4 was there. I guess that it might be worth trying both links to see what best suits you. -
I have a PC and laptop and both have MS 10 as their platform. I am quite happy with this as it is such a leap ahead of MS 8. Having said that I just hate MS Mail. I have no idea how something that has been so good for so long got butchered. Anyway, I was also having issues with it and got in touch with my ISP. After some messing about they told me that they were having problems with the programme and were suggesting that clients "'upgraded" to Mozilla Thunderbird. They handled all of this using a PC control programme and I have to advise you that this is great. I now have it installed in both of my computers and it is a breath of fresh air to me. If you have a crap mail programme can I suggest that you look at Thunderbird, It has made my computing experience that much better,

I was surprised when last year I used a booking site and then compared the price asked for by the hotel itself. The booking site was cheaper and also had specials like free breakfast etc. Nothing wrong with booking in for a couple of days for a look round but don't forget that if you don't use the booking site it may well cost you. Dublin via Kul to Bkk Malaysia airline
teelack replied to darkmancomes's topic in Airline Discussion
I will be flying Cathay next month through Hong Kong and can let you know my thoughts. The connection that I have gets me into BK at 11.55 PM and this is a good time for me as I can get to Pattaya and get some shut eye. This is the first time in over twenty years I have used Cathay but they still have a very good reputation so I spent a little more than usual to give them a try. One other point regarding Malaysian. I find that they don't want to be too open handed with the booze but will give you anything that you ask for. If you are not into asking than it could be a bit miserable. One more point is that due to their issues over the past few years their mid week flight (from my part of the world) are half full giving you a good chance of getting three or four seats to yourself. -
Dublin via Kul to Bkk Malaysia airline

Never used this flight but I oftenest the fly from KL TO BK and return. All these flights except late at night are usually filled to capacity. I mention this as I ran into trouble trying to alter a flight. The international flight was fine but I had to pay a serious premium for the last leg, KL/BK. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk -
I bought one and had it on Trade Me (Same as E Bay) within weeks. I am sure that they are getting better but I will stay with my Samsung and my Motorola.

Yogi. Here is my take. I believe that your sex drive is enhanced and prolonged by being in Thailand. I had given it away at home but can't get enough in Thailand. The cute, giving, sexy and totally available ladies make this a joy. As for my age, well I am heading to 75 and aim for one month in Thailand followed by two or three months away and this works for me like a charm. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Pandoras 1st Year Anniversary Party
teelack replied to Pandoras's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
I too would like to add my congrats to Pandoras for making their first year. I would add that of all the places in the Soi LK area it provides a great level of fun. There was some comments over the year that some of the girls were less that stunners (to say the least) but I think that few people who visited the place and hung around didn't get well entertained and looked after if that was their thing. This club and others like it have a real place in the Pattaya scenery as not all of us judge Pattaya by Baccara, Sensations, Sapphire etc. Great looking girls yes,but also some nasty attitudes and eye watering demands. -
Under 300 Baht ... And Good! (updated July 4, 2022)
teelack replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Thanks Joe for your review. There are two reasons why I think that this place (and others like it) are worth a mention. I, like a lot of others, over eat in those places that have all you can eat for say 299 baht. I hope that you walked away contented simply didnt need any more. The other point was one that I addressed yesterday in another thread. This was the rising cost of Thailand and my contention that there are a lot of lower price alternatives. I ate at places like Retox (98 baht for the best breakfast in town?), Jolly Friar and smaller Thai restaurants last month and found some great meals for under 200 baht including a drink. If I am driven to have a hamburger I am happy with the cheeseburger, fries and salad at the PBG for 140 baht. Incidentally and also tagging onto my earlier post, all these places were recommended by ex pats living here. I hasten to mention that looking for enjoying lower cost meals is not because I am mean or needy. It is simply one of my ploys for controlling my weight which would run riot if I ate at some of the places mentioned in the food reviews. Having said that I was starting to get addicted to sweet and sour prawns and the deep fried prawns in my little home cooking Thai place for 100 baht each. -
Pattaya Kamagra with free Home Delivery! Quality products
teelack replied to pattayakamagra's topic in The Market
Assuming that you are in Pattaya or Bangkok I wonder what the value of this service is. I get my supplies in Pattaya for 1000 baht for 24. I will only buy from a pharmacy and as far as I can work out these tablets work ok. I have never purchased from the guys that roam the streets and visit the bars. Am I missing something? What's to say that what is delivered is pharmacy quality. I also guess you have to ask if what I buy from my pharmacy didn't start of with a street seller. It is all a bit of a gamble. To add to the Atlas story. I was in Bali and the sums of money in the local junk are massive. I watched a money changer count a great wad of cash with one hand and carry on a conversation! I also recall being in a money exchange and and American family in front of me put some dollars down and to their surprise were handed over six million Rupiah. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Under 300 Baht ... And Good! (updated July 4, 2022)
teelack replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
Thanks Evil. You got it right. Just one point that I would make and that is that the roast meal is certainly enough for me. I have tried to avoid what we call "Pig Out Palaces" where its all you can eat. Perhaps it is this type of place that is the cause of Pattaya having more than its fair share of over-weights. Back to the Coins. I still think that for 169 baht plus 15 baht for the water with all the UK newspapers to read and the street theater being as good as it is, the place is a bargain. -

teelack replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
We must be going to different places then! Heaps of indoor seating at the Coins. I did forget however that for me part of the joy of Pattaya is being able to eat outdoors every day. The only place that break the rule for is Retox but even then I have been moving away so that I can eat out doors. As for the Coins. I find that the comings and goings at the massage place next door plus the street theatre of Soi Buakhao is almost worth the price. Vive la difference
