  1. Hi there. I opened a Kasikorn account in Pattaya and find it a great help. It is also so easy to slip into the zip pocket at night should I run out of cash. I am pleased that I use Kasikorn as there are so many ATM's and it costs nothing to withdraw using the banks own machines. One thing I do not suggest is that you change your overseas funds there as the rate is crap compared to places like TT Exchange. I also don't suggest that you transfer in from your home bank as the joint fees from both banks can be quite expensive. I have however tried all the options just to see if they worked and would not like to be without a card now. Sent from my XT1033 using Tapatalk
  2. Bugger! Missed out but see you next month.
  3. Can I suggest that you read between the lines as well as the Headline News. There is no doubt that the top end girls have raised the rates but there is still a massive range of prices and opportunities available. Beer bars still have 300/400 baht bar fines and 1000 baht LT fees. Just a week ago a number of go go bars in LK had a 2 for 1 happy hour and there are 2 for one beer places all over town. Then there is the food. My Thai GF loves to go to out favourite noodle bar where a large bowl with meat will cost you 35 baht with free water included. I can also get a great English breakfast including juice and coffee for 100 baht and it is more than enough to keep me going. Keep reading all about the high prices and take them as the norm or get out and about and see that the place has something for everyone.
  4. A good read as always. My eyes were drawn to the following. The decision by Bamboo Bar to increase toilet charges from 3 to 5 baht still seems to be a hot potato. Though it may seem trivial to some, we should be mindful of the fact that the average Bamboo Bar punter has to take a piss every five minutes. As is well know the piss is taken everywhere in Pattaya on a second by second basis. Also, Thai logic would dictate a 20 baht fee if people were taking a piss every five minutes!
  5. The way that things are going I will not be able to afford to fly Auckland to Bangkok with Thai Air. The prices at the moment have shot up to unacceptable levels. I was able to get a reasonable flight for my next visit but have had to switch for the one following. The last time I flew however the plane was full so perhaps in this case they are cashing in on their success. I can only hope that they stay as they are the only airline that flies direct.
  6. I guess that if you want to keep an eye on what is happening while your in Pattaya then Tapatalk springs to mind and it is now free. I dont want or need it when I am not in Pattaya and being free I can dump and install as needed. I do like having Hotel California as my ring tone so Zedge is a great site for all sorts. I did install a voice recorder so that I could make notes on bars and gogo's but as I get pissed I forget to use it but it is Smart Voice Recorder.
  7. Last night was my first night on the Freeview site. I took the lap top to bed so that I could watch for the first time in over 30 years Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor. It has actually got better with age.
  8. Just want to thank the OP. I didnt know that this existed but have wasted a lot of time on it and have enjoyed it.
  9. The rest of the story (as per a well known Pattaya publication: "...and as pissed off as a mad hornet she went back to her falang boyfriend in his hotel room. She repeatedly kicked him in the nuts till he fell screaming to the floor. She then took out a very blunt knife from the kitchen drawers and slowly, deliberately, cruelly and with total satisfaction cut his cock off and ran from the unit with the bloody knife and his cock still in her hands." "Miss Thangaporn was arrested a few hours later and charged with stealing a kitchen knife."
  10. I too have enjoyed all the Flashman, Nick Stone and Lee Child as he is published. Having said that I love the novel of Philip Kerr and Quintin Jardine and have read everything that they have written. If you have an interest in war era stories and very good writing get into Philip Kerr's Bernie Gunther novels a soon as possible. Having said all of that my daily Pattaya read is abut ten years old and I am loving it. It is A short history of almost everything"" by Bill Bryson who's books and writing are as good as it gets,
  11. If I want a "cheap and cheerful " meal then this place suits me. I never (if it can be avoided) eat indoors in Thailand and the general quality, price and seating make this an OK place for a meal that will sop up the serious drinking that will follow. Service generally world wide has gone to hell due to the girls wanting to be on their phones all the time and there are few places better or worse that others at the lower end of the scale. The Hilton may be different but...
  12. I have never stayed in the place but here is an opinion. I have talked to people who stay there and all seem to be happy with the place. If you like being central to where its all happening then its a great location and finally, yes the breakfast, sitting outdoors overlooking Soi LK is a great way to kick your day off. I would give it a try.
  13. I had a similar experience and when I twigged I got the driver onto it and he in turn got other drivers involved. The result was that I got all my money back.
  14. Always entertaining. Thanks. As a footnote to the penis soap saga i took photos of these offensive items in Big C yesterday. I bet the police don't close them down.
  15. It would be courteous to respond to my question rather than ignoring it.
  16. I have just read back through this topic in case I had missed something. I cannot actually recall anyone asking about getting ED medication with a prescription and I wonder why you would want to? There are pharmacies all over Pattaya and I feel sure that most of them if asked would sell you any form of ED over the counter. without a script. I also feel sure that they don't keep the crap pill for casual callers and the good stuff for those with a prescription. Can someone tell me what I am missing here?
  17. Have you got draft beer yet? It seems that it has been on and off for since the place opened.

  19. I went into a pharmacy in Pattaya Tai a few weeks ago and like many other places had no gels on sale. ''But'" says that lady ""if you want Kamagara pill can have one now, here" I didnt take her offer up but I guess that I left the place with a smile because to me that is the right attitude and one that I have come to expect in Pattaya. As for pharmacists. To me this seems to be a bit hit and miss and trial and error. I have settled into one place that I have had good service and his prices always seem reasonable as I do check around when I am looking for any medication. I will however be back soon and will be looking in that place off Second Road that was selling the short dated Kamagara Fizz early on in the year to see if they have any more specials.
  20. He wants to de-register? Bugger me why are you not sending spam to me? Why am I missing out on all the annoying PM's? De-regiter the guy for FS and give the guy his life back.
  21. What about sparkling sperm? A glittering gusher? Why should the girls have all the fun!
  22. I assumed that you were at music lessons taking an advanced course in Bugle playing!
  23. I only ever got food poisoning one and it was dreadful and it was also from a top quality restaurant but not in Thailand. Bali.
  24. Ikky! About time you got posting again! I miss your contribution to the forum.
  25. I have been in those mini vans where it is so full that people have to have baggage on their knees. There is no guarantee of lots of cargo room in a mini van.
