No I don't but if I wanted to my hotel would do it for nix.

FFS, why worry with Nana? I had two copies laminated at home for $3!

I too would suggest that you pre order with Mt T who will confirm and give you a price all at the same time.

Always used Air Asia and as the flight is so quick the food and drink isnt worth worrying about. One other aspect is that I think the Air Asia is now out of Don Muang. This could make a difference depending on where you are coming from or going to.

Palmers on Pattayaland 2 closed?
teelack replied to Butch's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Whilst on the subject, the Phantom Negger even felt that he had to neg my trip report. That's a first in being mean spirited as far as I can recall. My TR's may be boring, lack lustre or even repetative but they are a personal reflection of a day in Pattaya from one travellers point of view.No one need read them but I am aware that some enjoy being kept up to date on the trivia that is part of the Pattaya experience. -

Well aware Atlas and I also try to put things right wherever possible. (and have just done so) -
Palmers on Pattayaland 2 closed?

As pointed out in a recent TR Palmers has moved across the street. -
True but remember that you are signing legal documents relating to the loss and the SIM ownership.I am also not sure what would have happened if I didnt get close to the security questions.

Perhaps is the final word on the subject. I went to AIS and they in turn sent me to the Police Station to register a lost phone.Time spent in PS about an hour. Cost is 20 baht for a copy of the loss report. Only one security question, "What age you." Return to AIS and take a ticket and wait almost an hour for my turn. No problem with getting replacement SIM but I had to try and recall last top up date and amount (I had a problem) and last two numbers called. No cost at AIS but you do need your passport with both police and AIS. Was given two SIMs. One lasts three days and then I change to permanent one. My full credit was included in the new SIM. With the exception of the waiting it was relatively painless. Main reason for wait at AIS is that there are (I think) less operatives looking after foreign customers. Its a language skill thing.

Thanks guys. I will give it a day or two and give it a try.

Seems that I have lost my phone and so far have had no luck contacting it. Having never lost a phone before I was wondering if there is any way that I can get the number back? It is with AIS and I have had that number for some years. I thought I would ask here first rather than try to explain it to AIS.

Thanks. I like the Ban Chang one.

On the subject of rates. I noticed today that some of the exchanges had the $Australian in the 24+ range. Last year it was par with the $US for a while and other than the ruble this must be one of the steepest falls for a long while and surely must affect the Australian tourist trade.

I used to get a small bottle of juice and put a gel in it and give it a shake. In this way you have an easy way to split into two/three portions. You also have the option of leaving it in the fridge and finishing the bottle off when you get home with the femme de jour! Lets face it, before you get to bed and some action you will have to watch a bit TV, await the shower, clean your teeth etc. The bloody stuff should be working by then.

Thanks for the comments I have however a question. Using MS Mail I sent a couple of attachments to myself but cannot open them on my Android phone. It tells me that I don''t have the right programme to do so. I have tried a number of app downloads but to no avail. Any suggestions?
-
Thanks for the suggestion. I read through the various suggestions and had a look at the web sites and feed back and chose Kingsoft. So far so good in that everything so far has worked and is compatible with saved MS Office documents.

I recently requested information on alternatives to Pirate Bay and thank those that responded to this subject and that one. I have noticed that the programme that chose for downloads, Kickass has a lot of software down loads and I now need to make a decision what I use in my computer. Has anyone used the free Office software from Kickass? Is it worth a try or is Open Office a better bet?

Register your Thai Mobile Number or Lose it !
teelack replied to Fireman Sam's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I have sorted out the extended charging of the phone and usually go to the AIS office in Central and pay 10 baht a month for as many months as I want. This however will still be useless if you are out of the country and there becomes an insistence that you become registered. It would be good if someone can come up with something definitive and publish it here. -

OK, so someone steals your phone what do you do? Bear in mind that this so called registration (according to previous posts) might not even exist. -

Plus one on the above for me. Until the thread kicked off I had no idea that this was an issue. Surely if your phone was stolen you would put a stop on your number and it would still belong to you even if someone else was using it? -

I hope that this thread keeps on going. If its crap then its crap but if it isn't I would hate to lose my number of some years because I wasn't on the spot to register. -
BBC TV Series on Bangkok Airport
teelack replied to DrPat's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Thank you Shilo for taking the time. I think that there must be two Swampies as I never seem to see that many smiles. -
As a side issue is there not a change coming up this year with Dtac. I seem to recall that they are changing their transmission mode requiring some hardware changes. As said, this is only avague memory but perhaps someone can put me right.

Thanks MM.
