  1. I think that you will find that this is indeed Sutus Court. My thought is that it has a separate listing as Status because people get the spelling wrong. If you look at the Internet you can see this by checking the address. The reason that I make the point is that while you might struggle to find reviews of Status Court I have seen quite a lot for Sutus Court.
  2. Because I am curious, where is this place? Couldn't be Sutus Court could it?
  3. To prove the point I didnt even recall that you smoked.
  4. Something that is never though that I would say. I was in a gogo bar for a party one night so it was full. Guy next to me stoked up his vapour and proceeded to blow cloud of seriously smelly smoke. I had no where to move to because of the crowd and suffered the stench. For the first time in years I thought that I quite liked cigarette smoke! I didn't know that the cloud of smoke could be that dense or the smell that bad. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  5. I would like to give the Pattaya/ Hua Hin ferry a go next month. Can anyone update me on likely hotels where handy for the town centre and nightlife please.
  6. Great reading as usual. Thanks for your efforts.
  7. Thanks for the review Evil. This is my sort of place where the cooking is personal and seems that the food looks authentic. I have been using places like this but the last two shut their doors and this looks like a good replacement. I also find that Thai girls are happy in unpretentious places like this and prefer the home made version to the restaurant sort. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  8. Well said. If it looks like rain then stay in an area that has a lot of bars. It may take hours to get back to your hotel but you will feel no pain when you arrive. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  9. Watched the video. I awarded you turd prize for effort. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  10. The distance from Auckland to Bangkok is similar to UK to Bangkok. I just paid for my direct flight today and it was the lowest price I have had for years. Approx sterling $500 economy return. The problem with Thai is that they are never consistent with their prices and next week could have been 50 % more which is the standard price. As someone said, people will pay a premium for direct. That happened here and the result was daily flights rather than every other day. I think that the lower price reflects the extra seats that became available. Perhaps there is a moral to this story? 11. Thanks again for the monthly message of hope. It took me three reading to twig the Liverpool one. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks. Always a good read and strangely it all makes sense in a town not known for it. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  13. Worrying about a shortage of KF (no C) is rightly in the Funnies area.
  14. Frosty. Firstly, thanks for taking on the extra workload and keeping the forum running. For as number of us this is a life line to Pattaya when we are stuck somewhere else. I would suggest that the issue here is that you need a solution that will not burden you with work or take you into unfamiliar territory. Also the funding has to be on-going rather than a monthly fight for revenue. Lets also break down the cost. The cost of running the service equates to 150 baht per day approx. The question is who would benefit in Pattaya from a 150 baht a day investment in advertising? Any talk of members funding the forum a little bit at a time is a pipe dream and will soon die so it isn't the answer. If there is a wealthy punter out there then that would be great but I haven't seen anyone put their hand up since the FLB bar closed so I don't anticipate it now, There is a lot of combined knowledge and contacts out there. Look at people like Patna, Mr. Egg, Pattaya Pete etc. There must be people who know people prepared to spend 150 baht a day to advertise their business. As far as I can see you only need one sponsor as the administration would be bugger all. Surely there is one a'gogo, night club, hotel, tourist business etc who wants a solo outlet on a site like this? Bottom line is that if you are dealing with multiple donors or advertisers that admin will possibly drive you nuts. It has to be easy or it wont work. Besides reaching out to those people that we know could be interested, perhaps the other way to attract an advertiser would be for you to "Set the dogs on" the town. By this I mean let the boardies send out a prepared script by email to as many businesses as they can and see what happens. As you can see Frosty I am suggesting that the boardies do this rather than yourself. You do enough as it is and if you have to do tasks outside of your interests and expertise you will soon become disenchanted with the business.
  15. Did babies and young children sneak in? Babies can hardly be held to "break the law". Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  16. No problem. You are correct regarding the approx. million Dreamers who were bought to the US and have lived most of their lives there. They didn't ask for it but hey, send them back. Being right is having might I guess.
  17. It is interesting for someone like me to read these comments. Like many others I know little about the political system in the US however Trump has bought is into the limelight. I have noted however that the comments seem very black and white (literally) and insults about the players from the left and right at the norm rather than the exception. In fact, reading the comments here leads people like me to believe that the US is on a very bad slippery slope. It allows people to carry rifles designed for war by mentally challenged people. The race relations never seem to actually improve, simply be discussed more. Then the richest country on Earth is starting to put up walls, barriers to trade and looks to expel people born there. A great many Americans seem to be heading to the extreme right and this is dangerous ground to occupy. I simply hope (but know that it wont happen) that the US wakes up from its sleep and sees just what it has let itself in for.
  18. Cannot help but think that whilst the questions are legitimate that you just come to the place and enjoy what it has to offer. This place is unlike others and I am sure that well before you booked you did some serious homework on the internet. The joy of Pattaya is letting it happen rather than planning. Walk into most gogo bars and make it known what you and your wife would like and as long as you flash the cash you will be welcomed with open arms. As for strip clubs well there is nudity available all over the place and you might have to pay a few to put their gear back on again! Bring a couple back to your room and have a private strip and that will make four of you naked! Pattaya isn't like anywhere else and perhaps you need to get immersed in the place and then see how you feel.
  19. I recall answering this question for someone else and getting my ass torn out. This was because he didn't tell us what was important to him and human nature will therefore make us substitute what we want rather than what you do. Make life a bit easier. tell us your accommodation preference. Possible cost/price limits. Facilities required such as pool, gym and restaurant. You will get a lot of dubious suggestions without more info.
  20. No problem to me Patna but keep on posting the photos! Best of luck with whatever your new/next venture is.
  21. Thinking about this I have one other candidate. A boardie was asking about Chang Mai a few days ago and perhaps the best breakfast was part of the very reasonable nightly rate at the Pornping Hotel. I was having a drink on the rooftop bar with some other Euro people staying there and everyone mentioned it and in some cases took fruit and yoghurt out and that was their food for the day as they stuffed themselves full in the restaurant.
  22. I can only suggest that you keep the thread alive. I am happy meeting members but I am never 100 % sure about my time table. July is a way off. Ask the question again and I am sure that there will be a boardie or two to have a drink with. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
  23. At what price please?
  24. Dont suppose its any good telling you that the Friendship Market is only a couple of hundred metres from the crematorium?
  25. One thing that might help is a phone app. I am sure that there are a number of them but the essence is "Internet Sweet Spots". As far as I can tell whatever system you have will have black spots and after a while you know when you need to shift in order to get a strong signal. A friend of mine living in Pattaya taught m that this is a reality.
