I was in there last week Pete and I sure thought that you had got things right. Compared to a hell of a lot of places the PBG had a larger crowd than the last time I was in Patts last year. Well done for the innovation.

At the time of writing only Babydolls had bothered to list their curfew hours and I would have thought that this was the place to do it.

Thanks Steve. I have read that this is a class place and it will be on my list to visit, should I get there. As the danger level is now Extreme on the government web site its all a bit up in the air.

They do tell me Steve that there are large banners up at the Sabai complex and I also note that Sabai in are charging just over 700 b per night without breakfast. This seems a good deal for places that appear to be clean tidy and well positioned.

Just wondered if there was any panic pricing appearing in Patts at the moment? Whilst the baht is still strong I am happy to take any advantage I can on the food and accommodation front.

As a matter of interest has anyone been to the reception and asked for a tour of the rooms before booking in and if so what sort of response did they get. One other point is that I note the Sabai Inn for as low as 720 per night without breakfast. I also note that the Empress is 1250 Is it possible to get these rates by calling or are they cheaper if you use the internet? By the way, can any guest use any of the pools?

Hi there Paully. Here is what a Tripadvisor writer had to say. Stayed at the Summer Spring Hotel several times, never a complaint from my side, staff are ok, but dont challenge them for something from the obvious - checkin/out. The rooms are spacious, new/clean, and a great value. located only 50 paces from the beach on Soi 1 makes for a great place to launch for the beach or all night parties down the strip. Then when you make it back to your room with new found friends, there is no issue from the staff to continue your activities in the privacy of your room. No added/hidden charges

I have decided that the next time in town I will have a look around and book at the time. Having said that I looked on some of the internet sites today that give you "Last minute" rates and there was some great bargains right now so what it will be like in June I hate to think. Can I suggest that boardies looking for a bargain check out these sites and share any super deals with us. For me Asia Rooms had the best deals.

The last two thread on this subject advise that they do charge 500B joiner fee but who knows as this might have changed. Suggest that you email them and get it in writing.

The question was best location and for me its a toss up between Soi Dianne and Soi 8. I have ususlly stayed in Soi 8 but I have to agree that the LK area is good with only one down side and that there is no supermarket within easy walking distance.

Asked one of the bar managers at the Nana Plaza about the Rajah. Dont go there was his response but personally I have not stayed there.

I am off on a side trip to Laos later this year and look for adviice for accommodation in Luang Prebang and Vientiane. I am a 1000 baht sort of traveller and wonder what members could suggest please? Whilst I have looked at a number of travel sites I believe that one reccommendation is worth a 100 dodgy reviews.

I have stayed in the area for years but never stayed at either of the Flippers. What is the good news, bad news etc and which is best please? Are they valus for money?

After a year or so there should be some feed back as to the AVERAGE profile of the girls there. I would love some feed back as to how the guys got on. Here are some questions. Were they all on the game? Were there any that were ther just looking for fun, not sex. Were there any lookin just for sex? Were there any looking for a term relationship?
