The only place I know that does Black Pudding is Canterbury Tales so maybe you can ask Dave the owner if his cook will knock you one up. He usually has a thread running in the accommodation section

Most places have a sign you can hang on the door, one side say’s “Do Not Disturb” the other “Make Up Room Please” Or something similar. In English and Thai sometimes with a little drawing on as well. Have you tried using it? I have they work brilliantly

The drivers speak “basic” English but as has been stated on here very recently have the contact details and the printable map from the hotel web site and you will be fine, Otherwise I’ve always found there service very good.

What poor service? The driver picked them up and took them to Pattaya, just because the OP did not even do the basic thing of printing of the map that is displayed on the site or the address or even having a contact number handy why is it the drivers fault? Sorry this is down to the OP only

Been there a couple of times when it’s overlapped my trip. No problem at all never altered my plans or changed my night out because of them. As others have said it’s easy to avoid them if you wish.

Complain about what exactly? The only thing he could offer to make it right is the advice not to be so stupid and at least have the basic address of your GH/Hotel before you leave home.

Personally I would take the earlier train, why risk the hassle of missing your flight and possibly your long awaited holiday for the sake of a couple of hours hanging around and airport.

Country Roads one of my regular bars in BKK overlooks the bar that a lot of these guys seem to drink in, next to food land on soi 5. I’ve never had a problem with them they seem to “run” the black girls that operate on Sukhmvit but that’s between them and the BIB. Had a little chat with one at the bar/restaurant on the corner of 5 and Sukhmvit once about a drunk German who was quite amusing seemed OK he didn’t try to sell me any blood diamonds or “scam” me in fact offered me a drink at one point. I’ve had more hassle off white scam artistes than I have had of black ones in BKK that’s for sure

How many chance robbers would look under the bike seat for cash? Would they not be just satisfied with what’s in your wallet and pocket? This gentleman is telling pokies and his friend needs to ask some searching questions.

Bloody hell your right…… ……about a dozen flights over the past 4-5 years and I never really noticed. Though a few of those were in premium economy though (when I got a free upgrade)
