  1. Good call on the Aspen, sister premises to the Adelphi and just past the Majestic Grand Also should this be in the Hotel section?
  2. Good call http://www.sunviewplacepattaya.com/ Or http://www.opeydeplacepattaya.com/Overview.htm
  3. Adelphi Suites is head and shoulders above all the others. Highly recommended and just a short stroll from NEP via Lolita’s The Royal Ivory used to be nice but has let itself go recently and is quite a way down soi 4 if you want to be in the thick of things.
  4. AGV free version is fine as long as you keep it up to date.
  5. Just watched the news with the woman signing for the deaf. She gave up after 3 attempts at Cockermouth
  6. Once again you've started my month off with a good chuckle Cheers
  7. Nice trip report, any photos
  8. That’s brilliant……….I do hope it’s real
  9. How long is a piece of string? Every individual ( and type of stay) needs different things, when I stay in a place for just a couple of nights when going through BKK or Udon etc I don’t mind a more compact room No need for a kitchen as long as it has a kettle for the morning cuppa, but a couple of comfy chairs or couch are a welcome addition. If I’m staying for a longer time as I and I think most Pattaya visitors do, say 7 days plus, a little more space is a must a sitting / lounge area, balcony, large fridge are all good. Microwave, crockery, kitchen sink are a good extra but wont sell me the room. But space and a nice furnishings will. Take a look at the popular guest houses around ; Metro Apartments, Queen Vic, Rockhouse, Billabong etc all offer large well furnished accommodation at a good price and seem to have a very good occupancy rate. I wish you well and hope you succeed in a crowded market but you have to find the fine line between quality/value and profitability Good Luck
  10. Mick, don’t you mean afternoon Greg, Wish you luck mate not an easy time to go into a new venture, will pop in and check you out as I’m in the area for the next 3 weeks. The old Storm used to do the best “quality” breakfast in Pattaya (IMHO) and the girls in the slinky dresses was always a winner.
  11. A version posted less than 2 weeks ago; http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42377
  12. Don’t forget no AC and keep the windows closed. Don’t want those bugs getting through. Me, I going to wear a Sombrero on my next flight, bet I get a row all to myself.
  13. Where’s the punch line
  14. Correct, (edit done) damn these sausage fingers.
  15. On BR 68 arrive 15.05 will be booking Limo Pattaya No luck when offered before so maybe 3rd time lucky.
  16. Whatever he charges………………………………...........it’s not enough
  17. Joy’s bar is there now as well, moved from soi one with all the other bars. Always used to be worth a look for a cutie or 2
  18. If you want a “hotel” try; http://www.sunviewplacepattaya.com/ http://opeydeplacepattaya.com/ Both very similar in price and facilities both recommended. Another small hotel; http://www.jasminemansion.com/site/ Or try a guest house “room above a bar” many to be found with a quick search on here but a couple of my favourites are; http://www.metro-apartments-pattaya.com/ http://www.queenvictoria-inn.com/ Also trying this place on my next trip but only have a few reports to go on but nothing ventured nothing gained. http://www.liquidloungepattaya.com/home.html You’ll notice that most of these are around the soi LK/Buakhao area IMO a very good area with all you need at reasonable prices and very easy to travel to other areas All do discounts for longer stays and all are guest friendly
  19. What bear
  20. Hi mate, not 100% sure but don’t you have to book a “package” from a travel agent to go there as it’s a national park and must be pre booked? The only other person I know who’s been there is TP so pm him here or the other board he may be able to spread some light on it. I do know it’s a take your own entertainment sort of place though. You planning a little “romantic” getaway during songcran?
  21. Shame I cant be there, but OP with what’s been happening around town lately I wonder if giving so much detail is a wise move?
  22. James Corden “Smithy” from Gavin & Stacy gives a team talk to the England squad a very funny sketch from the recent “comic relief” night here back in the UK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r-LmeHkRQk
  23. Once again top notch……….thanks
  24. What a strange story sounds like the guy well overstepped the mark there.
