I find that setting my watch to local time as soon as the plane takes off from LHR and trying to act on that timing for eating, sleeping etc works for me. Also as I work shifts and odd hours my body clock is buggered anyway and can adapt quite quickly.

C.M there are a few people hooking up at Cherry Bar soi 8 on the 5th. Hammer is hosting a party for one of his girls. Majestic Grand soi 2 is about equal distance between Nana and Phleon Chit BTS stations but still a hell of a walk in the humidity with luggage. So you’ll end up booking into a very nice hotel covered in sweat and not looking your best. If I was you I’d take the cab option from Ekkami 10-20 min about 50thb, or from Pattaya all the way 1000thb You'll be very pleased with the hotel nice place If you do take the BTS you need to hit the street the SAME side as you arrived, not the opposite as bagman said

I’ve just cancelled a 14 day reservation there! They just decided to put the prices up after confirming my room and cost over a month ago, its now; Low Season; 900 and 1100 High Season 1100 and 1400

Stayed in May last year and they didn’t ask for a deposit then. They actually insisted on cash and wouldn’t accept a CC on check out!

If it's booked solid for 83 years it can't be bad

Nice Hotel very near the action on soi 5 down past Gulliver’s (a nice FL venue) can cut through to soi 7 for the beer Garden then a short hop to 7/1. Not 100% sure if it is guest friendly though! Have heard reports some say it is some say it isn’t! I stayed there about 3 years ago but had a GF with me for the 4 night stay so that part I’m not sure of! I would contact the Hotel directly and confirm If I were you.

Try these 2 in soi 11; Grand Business Inn Swiss Park Both guest friendly and near the action.

I like the Thai 12.30 flight out as I can finish work at 7am and be in LHR by 10 to check in. Then on the way back if I get the 12.30 from BKK I can be back in my flat for about 20.30 ready for a 7am start. I don’t like to waste time when I could be in LOS maximises my holiday time and no hanging about all day when I could be travelling.

Eva has new stock and better in flight entertainment. Thai has better food & service and (for me) far better timings. I’ve flown both like them both (they land at BKK whats not to like) not much to chose between them. If price is the same I go with the one with better timings for me. But as they say Up too you!
