Terrific report excellent info and photos, thanks very much. Just a quick question , these freelancers if a lonely tourist did want to take one back to his hotel to discuss local culture and customs how much of a fee would we be looking at?

Glyn have you tried EVA very similar flight times but better planes and they also nearly always come up cheaper than Thai. My airline of choice now

Mate of mine recommended The Stone Oven’s (corner soi 6 and Beach road) Indian menu to me last trip. And he was spot on. Well he should know he’s a Brummy. Really good tasty food good price and good portions, cant remember the exact prices but 3 of us eating and drinking there for a good couple of hours and we split the bill and didn’t have any complaints . A fantastic way to regain the energy you lost on you soi 6 adventure. There other food is quite good too, but there toilet facilities leave a lot to be desired.

I like that just "borrowed" to pass on.
-
I hope that gets sorted as it would make the Jacuzzi a little redundant.
-
Both good posts, I stay in the area because if you want a good night out it's right on your doorstep. If you want to visit WS or soi 6 or anywhere else transport is easy. I'm neither a CC or a LDOP well some nights I can be either or.

Not stayed there but had a look round a mates room last time over. Very nice, he had a Jacuzzi room very nice quality furnishings, flat screen TV’s etc. Wi-Fi and hard wired internet, large laptop size room safe, ionizer. All immaculate cleaned and he had no complaints whatsoever. I will be trying to book for my next trip.

Got a link HB?
-
It’s safer if you divide it up. Put some in bars cash registers as well I suggest spreading it around a little to confuse them.
-
Please point out where I said this.

Sad to say it’s true according to media reports, saw it on PDN the discovery and the subsequent follow up with the said BG. But site seems to be down for the moment so cant find it to link it. Got to love those Thai family values eh. Edit; Found the first story and a link to the second, though not as detailed as the one I originally read. http://www.pattayadailynews.com/en/2011/09/13/baby-murdered-with-g-string-found-at-suvarnabhumi-airport/ http://www.yengo.com/en/news/txt/?id=36&da_id=599 Just very sad
