  1. http:// screenshots.portforward. c o m /Router/FiberHome/ANN506_04_F2/ take out the space after // and the spaces around .com
  2. Best airline I have ever flown on. (I have never flown on Singapore). The service is decent, they fly on time, their cabins are well maintained, and the check-in staff are fast and competent. I still mostly use EVA for the Evergreen Deluxe/Elite class, but would not hesitate to use Cathay Pacific at any time. Their business class is miles ahead of EVA.
  3. I have stayed at the Whitehouse Condotel four times now and never had a problem with the rooms. However, since some of the rooms are condos that the hotel part is renting out for absent owners maybe there is an condo owner or two that is not maintaining his unit. If I had a problem with one of the rooms then I would try asking to be moved to another room. If the front desk can't help you ask for the Joe Banks, he is the boss.
  4. I have never had a problem with EVAs website. I have booked many flights thru the website. Thai Air's website is a little hard to use, but once you get the hang of it, you can get prices and flight info out of it. China Air's website is not as easy as EVAs, but is much easier than Thai Air's.
  5. go to the website that the people suing have set up: http://stopvt7.blogspot.com/
  6. I have stayed there once (April 2006) and enjoyed it. It is not for anyone bringing back more than one girl as they charge a joiner fee for each girl over one. The restaurant in adequate but not great. The beds are comfortable and the staff are pleasant. I am staying there again in March.
  7. I do not know about China Airlines. For EVA air, you can go in thru their website approximately 90 days before your flight and pick your seat. You have to be a member of their frequent flyer club. So far I have always (seven times) gotten the exact seat that I wanted by going into the system within a few hours of when the seats for that flight are available for selection.
  8. I am sitting in a deluxe suite as I write this. In the deluxe suite there is a vary large bathtub, has to be around 7 feet long and wider than average. Separate walk-in shower. Previous comment about water changing from hot to cold in 6 or 7 minutes is accurate. Pictures on the website match the suite. The food is okay, but nothing special.
  9. I will be staying there starting on Wednesday, I will try and remember to post a review.
  10. I have pretty much the same answer about the money. I have cut out bars and impulse spending. I happen to live close to work so I do not have to drive back and forth -- I have only bought gasoline for my car once this year.
  11. I have flown EVAs Evergreen Deluxe class 5 diffferent times roundtrip across the pacific. I am 6'4" and I find that the extra five inches of space makes a huge difference.
  12. In the terminal that EVA uses (sorry I do not know which number that is) there is internet access in a lounge upstairs that you have to pay to get into. When I asked (several years ago) it cost over $30US.
  13. I have never had to pay for wine on EVA Evergreen Deluxe. do not know about hard liquor.
  14. I stayed there in November and booked thru an internet site (not theirs) and was not charged a joiner fee. I may have booked a double, I do not remember.
  15. Singapore Executive Economy also is on some flights from LAX
  16. Most of what I get is health insurance. I purchase tickets direct from EVA and would have had no problem getting tickets changed. I always put the cost of my trip very low, enough to cover a minor amount of non-recoverable pre-paid costs and change fees.
  17. No, I have never needed to make a claim. If you look at the link, they are brokers for a lot of insurance companies. I usually get a Travelex policy (you see their currency exchange booths in US airports and many other countries) or Access America.
  18. Try this URL: http://www.insuremytrip.com/ this website will compare prices and features of various policies for you. I use it every year for my trip to Thailand.
  19. The Penthouse Hotel can be a lot of fun, but there are two big problems. There are a lot of bugs, and if you book one of the higher quality rooms you are likely to get downgraded when you walk in the door. I think they have been way overbooking, the woman who runs the front desk will lie about when you might get the room you have been promised. They downgraded me the last two years.
  20. What was the website that had a room for $90 per night? Are you sure that there wasn't service and taxes added on after that? I finally gave up and got five nights for about $104 per night total cost.
  21. Stay in a well run hotel. (the Residence Gardens for instance) and you will not have any problems. A bar girl trying to carry a laptop out of a well run place will get stopped.
  22. What did you pay per night at the Conrad?
  23. I have never seen fine bone china in deluxe class or in business class.
  24. I always tell the hotel the rate that I want. They can say yes, no or make me a different offer. I always refer to someone who has gotten that rate from them or refer to when I stayed there before at that rate. I nearly always get a yes.
