Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

trying to email the flbbar

I smell a possible boat trip! I WA NT TO GO! I WANT TO GO!!!! -
Agreed. It took me forever to convice Delta I absolutely must have "returned" and that they should credit my flight. I had everything BUT the boarding Pass (i.e. hotel receipts, passport stamp, airline tickets,), but they would not credit me. After many letters and appeals I was finally and begrudginly given my miles. Always save the boarding pass until you get your credit! Well said

From all that I've heard this is a damn good hotel for the price. It should not be overlooked.

I have a feeling this new property is a gem. We don't have may reviews on it, but the few we do are all positive. Now we hear it's booked solid through March (already)! Damn! I will see if availablity exists for my next trip in June/July. If anyone stops by a review would be appreciated. God Bless Us - One and all

any opinions of the sailor inn
Tengotodo replied to juniorwp's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Website is only available in German. Rooms look typically European.. small but very functional. Nothing to write home about. motorbike rentals available onsite...breakfast an average 120 baht.... Unless you speak fluent German and have heard otherwise, I would pass. Too many excellent and proven alternatives to take a chance. Please get back to me on how you made out. -
Taxi to Pattaya from Sukhumvit Road (BKK)
Tengotodo replied to Nakaleen's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
How did the search go? Any answers? -
Never been to Tropical Berts but this seems like such a good post I felt sorry that it was dying and just wanted to bring it back up for the newbies looking for what seems a nice place to stay.
-
yes, yes, yes. I see the difference!! london to bKK on ethiad first class is so much superior than JFK to BKk in premium economy!! I wish i could do ethiad from JFK on an award ticket!! that plan is sssssswweeeeeett! i have come to realize after reading these boards that my "special premium economy" on THAI may not be worth the points. Ize be tinking 'bout it. thanks for the reply. Your opinion helps me decide
-
arriving at the new BKK? I thought this would be helpful to bring back to the top ( for a while).
-
Sorry.. never heard of them.. (and for that reason a reason to be dubious)
-
Condo's (anyone use them..?)
Tengotodo replied to romello_202's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
That sounds like a great price! Was that during Low season? And how often did you use the kitchenette? Why walk 12 minutes (roughly 1 mile)? Just curious cuz I know you've been there a lot.... -
Perhaps not still funny, but you do have to wonder who came up with this gem
-
hello, Mak. Well, hate to say it but it depends..... I wanted to use an award trip so as everyone knows those babies are very limited and book out FAST! I already booked for June/July of 2007 using miles and I was lucky to find something available. If it's a regular booking for June/July? I think the best thing to do if you can be VERY flexible is to wait. Hotels will be a plenty - no worries there. Prices will fluctuate midly between FEB/JUNE with an inclination to lower as June approaches. As long as your dates are flexible I think it best to wait. Mind you, this pearl of wisdom is solely based on what I've read on these boards and the two trips I've taken (Jan/Dec) and (June/July). Good luck and do let us know what the outcome is? Cheers.

Dear Member 8477, Welcome to the board - looking forward to hearing your experiences and opinions.

I see there is a scheduled NYE party at FLB. Anyone leaving BKK for Pattaya on 12/31/06 that wants to split the cost

The nice thing about opinions is every gets to have one! IMOP, do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay there. It is NOT LIKE the Nana hotel (either in reputation or even cleanliness - and that's saying something). Part of the "great experience" (aside from the obvious) is to me, a comfortable, relaxing stay in a clean, well-appointed room. The rooms at the Welkom Inn are possibly the worst in Pattaya! Beds are very horrible, musty, dirty carpets, little to no water pressure. The Sabaii Lodge is right there and 1000X better. If price is NOT your motivating factor, then I suggest you look elsewhere. Use the search engine and look up this hotel and try the hotel revies section. I booked 1 night here with the intention of staying because mostly of the "amenities" close by, but checked out after the first night. Better to walk there from a nearby hotel! The only good thing I can say about the Welkom Inn is the very cheap breakfast I had for maybe 90 baht? But don't order a steak from the dinner menu cuz it will be baaaaaaaaaad. Soi 2 is a nice area and there are much better choices there than Welkom Inn.. $.02

first trip to pattaya (hotel question)
Tengotodo replied to romello_202's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I know its not on your list, but I strongly recommend you consider staying at the Sabaii Inn on Soi 2. Baht bus comes right to the front door, gogo on same street and a few beer bars. Thai restaurant directly across the street and close enough to walking street to get there in 5 minutes on bus, but without the noise and crowds. There is no pool (but you can use the one next door), but the rooms are very large, w/in room safe, tub/shower, etc.. All in all, a very nice place to stay and within your budget requirements. Do a search and check the reviews. I definitely agree you should book NOW! High season sells out quickly in the better places. You might also consider the Areca Lodge (but watch out for that ridiculous mandatory gala fee). I'll be there at the same time. Maybe have a drink at FLB... -
Thanks, Jack. I really should RTFM!

Thanks for the advice. Booked my penthouse 4 months ago and Michael has been very responsive - even asked me if he could fill up the fridge with my favorite beverages before I arrived! I'm larger than average and I'm wondering if the Jacuzzi is big enough to comfortably hold a 250 lb man and a 99 pound spinner or 2?
-
I was jst wondering if anyone stayed at the Sabaii Inn Suite before? No mention of it in reviews. I might be wrong about the 1500 rate as I had prepaid long before I got there. But the 3K baht rate is a recent quote from them, and for that price I would expect a LOT! Has anyone stayed in their "suite"??

cheap longstay place?
Tengotodo replied to doughnutmeal's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
6 months? Jesus Christ, you lucky bastad. You need expat adivce! -
Now that is sweet. The interior of the plane is better than most hotels I stay in.
-
You can book a suite at the Sabaii Inn for 3K baht per day.
