I don't understand why people discredit the hotel. If you're habits are anything like mine, you actually "stay" in the room between maybe 2 am and 8 am (with a girl). Even then, the lights are out and you're busy (hopefully). It really is all about location...right across the street from heaven. Oh, and the breakfast is great! My room was clean and the maids were very attentive (100 baht a day goes a long way). The disco downstairs don't hurt either (although I never went there, it was comforting to know I could). I say Nana Hotel rocks!!

Hotels with in room safes
Tengotodo replied to PigBoy#1's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I have a a"safe" that anyone can snatch.. It weight 100 lbs, but it's possible. At the hotels... Yes, they can "snatch" an unsecured safe, but would they? cameras everywhere...witnessess everywhere. Can you imagine a BG carrying a 100lb sage on her back without notice? lol. Cameras everywhere. Why would you go to a hotel that did not have it, that's my question. -
thank you. I have contacted them with various questions. When they get back to me I will tell all.

Where exactly is the Woodlands? My first response from Expedia.com with airfare and hotel was Woodlands, but I balked thinking since that was the cheapest it must not be very good. But now I'm wondering If I made a mistake. How far is Woodlands Resort from Walking Street? Baht Bus reachable? Comfort/beauty of hotel site? Sorry I can't add to this threat, but all I have is QUESTIONS!!!

Thought it might be possible to arrange a bar crawl of BM's bars during early July for newbies (like myself). Figure to start off on Soi 6 (drink it up with a few S/Ts) and end up at FLB, but it reallyi doesn't matter. Sometime between July 2 and July 6 (don't forget about July 8 parth at FLB)! Just for newbies with less than 3 visits to Pattaya. Anyone interested? If so, PM me and god bless us all!

I rented a motor bike in Pattaya during my first visit and found it very stressful with all the traffic and seeming lack of rules. I give credit to you for having the courage to drive. However, why not just take "tours" as offered from just about everywhere? Is there a real advantage to renting a car in Pattaya?

get a 2nd or 3rd mortgage on the house...max out your credit cards...sell other peoples' personal property, even a pint of blood will get you from BKK to Pattaya. Whatever you have to do....DO IT!!!

Can't tell you anything about the other two hotels, but I can recommend the Areca. Right across the street from Lolitas and Disco. Mini-mart, pharmacy, LD telephone service and beer bars on same street. Hotel has a great buffet (IMO) and very girl friendly with sign in. (: A little pricey perhaps, but very nice. All the girls loved it and thought I was rich, handsome man.

You can put your US AIR FF miles account # on your THAI Airways flight reservation. Must be done before you fly. Won't be a problem. Only problem will be getting a free flight after you have enough miles. Refer you to flytertalk.com for the best information available. Good luck.

from what I read about skyteam award partners, etc.. it appears you already have enough miles for a free ticket (albeit with many restrictions). Unless I'm missing something, Hawaii to S.E. Asia costs between 60K and 70K for an award ticket? http://www.delta.com/mileagefinder/area_se...?cmd=areaSelect From Hawaii to Asia-Southeast/Southwest Delta and Multi-Airline Awards Miles Required Cabin Carrier Award Code Award Details 60,000 Economy Multi-Airline (including Delta) T140 Details/Restrictions 120,000 Business Multi-Airline (including Delta) T240 Details/Restrict

What I Saw Today in Pattaya

Your daily pics are keeping me going and making me insane! 33 days to go! -
Is it easier or more difficult to LT a BG in a deluge? I mean... they all know customers are not streaming in from foot traffic, but on the other hand...no one wants to walk around in the down pour. I think it will be easier to get favorable prices during heavy rain. no?

I know everyone has different tastes, but personally I have not spent any appreciable time on the balcony between drunks and shags. I don't know if it's worth paying more for unless you're into drinking coffee and sitting in a plastic chair watching the early birds mill about. Do people really sit out on the balcony? (I do in USA), but in Pattaya with a BG who speaks little/no english?

my teletext deal from the uk
Tengotodo replied to ryaninuk's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
All kidding aside, if money is tight and they need a place to go, I will help you out and share my place with them, free of charge. Afterall, we're all in this thing together and there's nothing wrong with helping eachother out. -
I can appreciate the humor in your text, but you can never make light of a serious subject without taking some flak. You can never joke about gassing jews, hacking rawandans, or being a fake marine when others have literally died for your right to jest. I was in the Corps and did have some friends perish. I try to take what you say lightly, but I am afraid others will also and that is not good. You can find other things to joke about.

If you ever want to dispose of some of those expiring miles, I am happy to compensate you for the loss.
