Not really a topic about "deals". Just could not believe the prices when I checked today. I purchased my n/s Thai ticket about 2 months ago for under $1600. Price today if over $2100! Jesus. I suggest anyone thinking about going in June/July either buy immediately, or wait for the very last second.

While it's true you're not the first to run to my rescue, you have at times been civil and even fair in your responses. Flyertalk was a great recommendation. I guess I owe you one.

I had the same problem with my FF miles until someone on this board suggested I log onto Flyertalk.com for adviice. I did. They told me to call the FF # on the back of my card, but then ask to be connected to the "international Partners" desk. It seems most individual airlines do not have access to all the parnter awards information. The IPD does. It also depends a great deal upon the agent you're speaking too. Finding connecting flights, etc..takes some skill and patience. I have spoken to 2 who said it couldn't be done, but a third agent was able to put it togehter for me. Got nothing

I don't think there is any bias towards Indian, per sey. But I have heard it mentioned often there is a "preference" for light skin. This may help to explain why you see so many ladies who, while working in the 100 degree weather, are covered from head-to-toe in heavy clothing (poor things). I venture a guess that 99% of the visitors to Pattaya are caucasion. That being said, I don't think you will have any problem at all getting laid. So many ladies, plenty for all!

I never felt any danger at all while waling the sois of Pattaya at 3 and 4 am. But then, I'm not a picnic basket either. I think Pattaya is very safe. Always filled with tourists. You might get into trouble if you go looking for it in out of the way places.

Best to get rid of any macho image you may think you have before you go. You wll enjoy yourself more once you realize there is no competition over there. LBs are very much accepted and you will be a better person for it if you begin to accept diversity in all its forms. They just want to be happy like the rest of us. Enjoy the diversity and make it a point while you're there to actually talk to a LB. You may never get the chance again! Have a good trip!

Yeah, good luck with that! I"m leaving LATE June on THAI and paying $1500+ (and I bought my ticket a couple of months ago). Only hope is for canellations to free up some seats. Buy Why it's busy in June/July I'm not sure. kids out from school are not going to BKK with their families. And besides, I thought DEC/JAN was high season? $1378 is the best I see from JFK to BKK on Emirates in Late June. (no beer for me). June 9-20th NS on Thai from JFK for $1259 all in? Does that count?

Agreed. Thai for $1,006 from 10/30 through 11/13 is good for a 16 hour NS flight. Check Farecompare.com for good info as well..

RG is very competitively prices at 1399 plus 350 surcharge per nite during peak season still seems like a very good deal, all things considered. I have heard nothing bad about this place and I have booked it myself for next January.

Search yielded no information. Has anyone stated here recently. They both used to get good reviews, but not much recently. Do they have in-room safes? Possible too close to action if butterfly? Any/all comments appreciated. thanks.
