Have travelled with both Emirates and Etihad and I must admit I prefer Emirates. Looking for to my next trip as I will be doing the A380 BKK - DXB and then DXB - MAN.

Just booked to fly out on EK22/EK374 next month...... We only have to suffer the sardine can 777 on the DXB-BKK leg...... Coming back it's A380 both legs!!! I always pre-book seats and on the DXB-MAN leg of the return flight there was hardly any blocks of 3 seats left for the date we fly back.

There might be operational reasons for the cancellations.... Just been pricing flights for mid June and Emirates is coming up the most expensive between Emirates, Etihad and Qatar for the dates I was looking at.

But it's ok for your tax dollars to bail out the banks who made poor investments? The banks have the Eu and US taxpayers and we all will be paying for it for a long time.

Yep, the Boeing fanboys have gone very quiet on the matter and will no doubt claim they were just waiting for us lot to bring up the subject. They have also been very quiet on the slow deliveries of the 7LATE7...... How many have been delivered since September last year? it it 5? And they are still suffering manufacturing problems.....

Still have 3 of them and I gave the oldest one to my parents and they are all working great.

And Samsung as the cheap mans Panasonic!!! My last 4 TV's have all been Panasonic and never had a problem with them.

Well, they replaced the LG HD LCD Monitor with the LED version...... but if this one fails I won't get another LG.

I recently bought an LG monitor.... didn't even last 9 months before failing..... Won't buy LG again...

Bulging/leaking electrolytic capacitors is not a new phenomenon, it has been going on for years ......And it doesn't just happen in TVs, and not only Samsungs. It is usually happens as a result of manufacturers using lower quality capacitors. I've lost the occasional PC motherboard to bulging caps, including one made by Asus, one by DFI and one by Abit.

I never holiday during school holidays, and it's late June we will be traveling, so hopefully the Diamond Jubilee effect will be over, and the Olympic effect won't have started for the return flights. What surprised me is that neither Emirates or Etihad were anywhere near being the cheapest for the dates I selected for the quote.

Just been checking prices for a trip in June (for me, my other half and my daughter ) and currently the cheapest option was a out on Swiss and back with Lufthansa........ Not planning on booking til May, hopefully prices will drop before then.

Been stopped twice flying into Swampy and both time been slightly over the allowance. First time got pulled after going through the Nothing to Declare exit and was looking for my taxi driver. After a quick look through my hand luggage they let me go. The second time I had just got off the plane, was walking along the concourse towards immigration when I got pulled for a quick look through my hand luggage.
