I stayed there for a few days this time last year. It was OK, nothing special. The room I had was clean enough, however a small shanty town under my window took away from the scenic aspect.

One off putting thing was that it was a bit out of the action, up towards the Carrefour and not on a main road to catch a passing baht bus. There is a taxi and scooter stand just outside the hotel.

Hi I looked this place over this year(june)and came to the conclusion that unless you have a bike or are prepared for the extra cost of all those taxis(and why stay there if cost is no problem)then the hastle is not worth the cost saving, try looking at places on soi buakouw or just off.

I have stayed here, as have a couple of friends, and its clean, though nothing special. I now share a house a couple of sois away. As previously said, the biggest problem is the expense of getting home, especially if there are two of you. best to find someone closer to the action. I now have my own bike otherwise it would be very expensive to get around from this part of town.

I haven't stayed there but the Outback bar was a bag of shit when I went. Few old girls.

Smallish pool - I did look at some rooms and they seemed fine but again, why choose the location. Seemed very quiet when i went and I can understand that from the location.

I saw that a few times as well. Got to agree, overplaying the I'm an Aussie card or perhaps he was just pissed !

I know Robert Hagan slightly and he isn't that way in person.

He taught school for a number of years and then decided to become a painter. He's self taught I believe and apparently quite successful. Several of his works are in the bar and hotel reception area.

With all due respect I would again refer you to their web-site which to say the least is rather confusing.

As you rightly point out on their tariff pages it does indeed state that the cleaning and linen change is done twice a week, however on the 1st page of their website it clearly states that these two services are done DAILY,which is the case I don't know but I am quite sure that I for one would not care for a twice weekly service particulary for the towel service.

When I obtain a reply will post true answer. :D :P :D

There is no confusion.

I think you won't find many places that are cleaned daily when you are paying much reduced monthly rates.

The daily cleaning and inclusive utilities pertain to the daily rate.

Though, I'm sure you could work something out for extra towels and cleaning by paying extra as and when you need it.
