Hi Guys,

sorry for bringing up a regular topic again, but has anyone the latest information on the Soi 13 construction process. Are there any constructions ongoing at the moment, especially around Sandy Spring?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Regards,

Blumi

Was at Ma Maison for a week last month - just down from Sandy Spring. There is still 1 construction site further up the Soi on the other side, but the noisy shit seems to be done. Didn't hear a peep of noise while I was there.

Absolutely no problems whatsoever in the Sandy Springs area of the Soi. (Apart from noisy f'ing Golfing rabble staying there. :allright :D )

Does anyone know of an up to date map of soi 13 showing the new hotels? Or could anyone please list the current hotels on each side from one end to the other?

It's been 3 years since since I was last in Pattaya (I know...how could I let that happen!....time flies while your buying and doing up a property!...especially if your a slow old git like me!), but I've just booked a flight, so I'll finally be back for 4 weeks at the end of May...can't wait!

I stayed in the AA Residence back then, which I think was the first of the new hotels to open, but the rest of the soi had a lot of building sites.

Has the old AA been done up since then?

Which soi 13 hotel would you guys recommend?

Cheers

I'll give it a go. On the north side starting from the beach you have Ma Masion (with a new wing), Golden Crab (also with a new wing), Inn House built after the AA Residence), the AA Residence and then the current building site. On the south side you have the old AA, Haven, Sandys Springs built after the AA Residence, the old Condo, the new Whitehouse Condotel, and the Dynasty also built after the AA Residence.

Thanks for the info Emil. What state is the site next to the AA Residence in? Is the building structure up yet, or are they still doing ground works?

I looked at the reviews and websites for the Dynasty, Whitehouse and Sandy Springs and they all look much the same sort of standard as the AA Residence. Oh well .... decisions....decisions!

Cheers again for the info. :bow

Its been about 2 weeks since I went by, the pile driving was done a few months back, they had just started with the ground floor. I don't know how many floors this place will have, but your going to have construction at least through the end of this year.

Will try to take notice when I walk there every now and then. Think it was 1st or 2nd floor so far yesterday. Havent't walked through daytime last days. No problem on the work side 4 days ago, soi all quiet. The noice you will have in the future is when they drag those steel things (that keep the concrete together, HELP, no speak English normally...) on the ground AND when they cut them.

  • 1 month later...

I'd really appreciate an update from someone who has been along Soi 13 in recent days, please.

If there is building noise, where is it coming from?

Many thanks.

Being a light sleeper, I give a rat's ass. Because if the noise is from 2nd Rd end, I can consider staying at Sandy Springs; if from the Beach Road end, I can stay at Dynasty.

Comments about your personal lifetsyle don't seem appropriate to the "Hotel and Accommodation" section - and that is a matter I don't give a rat's ass about.

Stayed at the Whitehouse (2nd Rd side of Sandy Spring) a couple of weeks ago.

The only construction in the Soi is opposite the Whitehouse & as stated all the noisy stuff seems to be finished.

Thanks for the input, Robert.

Am arriving 1 June and felt I needed to book somewhere and, absent any info on Soi 13, I've booked Sabai Inn. Will take a close look at Soi 13 when I'm there and will probably return to a hotel there on the trip after. It's a good compromise between Soi 6,7,8 and Walking Street.

There are a number of good hotels & restaurants on the Soi, but no beer bars or go-gos so it's always quiet.

I've booked there again for July & October although I might head to Snooky for Xmas to avoid the tourists.

Enjoy your trip (impossible not to).

8 weeks to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
