Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Good afternoon,

I am looking for hotels that have in room safes, preferably electronic safes. In previous trips I have stayed at the Eastiny, Penthouse and the Vault and loved the ease of easy access to my stuff. Only the Vault had in room safes. I am trying to keep it under 2500 baht per night. Any ideas?

Thanks

If you find a place that you really like and the only drawback is no in room safe, you can buy one for around 2000baht.

how will you make it fast?

they can take and all your belongings and the safe, would be not the first time

How about laptop computers? Will they fit in the typical in-room safe? Is a laptop with a 15.4" screen too big?

Rex

No. The average in room safe is to small for a laptop.

Well I can see why this post confused a few people.

We are talking about a short term hotel room here......

So does our 2000 baht safe get locked in the wardrobe, or do we put all our valuables in the safe and then take it out with us to the go-gos. A few hotels object to you drilling large holes in the walls for the rawlbolts. Probably because of the noise, err how much does a drill cost? :clap1 :clap1 :clap1

I have a a"safe" that anyone can snatch.. It weight 100 lbs, but it's possible. At the hotels... Yes, they can "snatch" an unsecured safe, but would they? cameras everywhere...witnessess everywhere. Can you imagine a BG carrying a 100lb sage on her back without notice? lol. Cameras everywhere. Why would you go to a hotel that did not have it, that's my question.

First you could ask the hotel manager if they could install it for you. Tell them your buying and if they install it they can keep it after you leave. It would be a selling point for future guests. But really even if the safe wasn't bolted down or only secured with a cable it would do the job as you wouldn't have any TG putting it in their bag and walking out. Most would even assume that it was bolted down. Another cheap item to secure your room is one of those doorknob covers and a padlock. Someone that's looking to break in will pick a room that appears easy to get into than one with obstacles, unless they know your keeping something of extreme value to make them take the extra risk.

Just got back from Pattaya, stayed for two weeks at Sabai Inn and was surprised to find a good size electronic safe in standard 700 baht rooms, spent third week in BJ Lodge on Soi 3 for 1000 baht, had smaller but adequate safe.I must say I found having an in-room safe very convenient and would in future only look to stay in hotel that provided them,so much more convenient when bringing a girl back to be able to stash everything away til morning.

sunshine vista apartments on soi 3, a good and fairly new place... :beer

I'll second that ... stayed there four times so far. Nice pool on the roof, decent rooms with balcony, nice bathrooms (tub AND shower) and in-room safes. Plenty of room for airline tickets, passport, small camera, wallet, jewelry etc ... not big enough for a laptop though.
