Hi..

I will be staying there in two weeks... this will be my first time there so I am curious if anyone else has actually stayed there and liked the rooms.

I tried to email a request to them... no response. So.. I phoned them up directly to get a reservation. I have an internet phone so it was only about a 2 or 3 cents a minute call (www.voicestick.com) .

My advice would be to phone them up.

Any reviews?

Hi,

Lots of places like the Pig may not have computer literate staff. They are small enterprises and there is little financial benefit to them to employ people to answer e-mails. Phone them or just drop in when you get to Pattaya.

I recall BigDUSA has stayed there, and wrote about it. Maybe PM him or do a search for the key words..

Big Dusa stayed there for a few days about 3 years ago, and then moved to Sky Top. He told me he found the beds were too hard. Apart from that I think he would have been happy to stay there. :thumbup

Looked at the rooms in June. Nothing fancy and chose not to stay there, but didn't expect much for 600 baht a night. Good location for wandering soi 7 and 8 and the restaurant is pretty darn good.

  • 2 weeks later...

I stayed there during the Songkran Festival earlier this year. It was VERY loud until around 3am...beer bars right next door and all.

The room itself that I had was decent - yes, the bed was pretty hard. Overall, the price was ok for the location and service. I ended up paying 700baht....I think? It's been a while, you know. The pub/restaurant was excellent though. Had a good time talking to the 'blokes' right after I got my 6th tattoo.

:D

I've stayed there twice and I liked it except for the hard bed, I wish my dick would get that hard. :bj2 Great location, in room safe and they have an elevator to haul my fat ass up to my room. BTW good pub grub.

Hi

I am in the pIG AND whistle now....

Actually... I like the room with the following comments

Bed is too hard....difficult to lay on side for a long time

Loud at night ..I think this depends on the room but very noisy last night until about 4 am You guys party too much!

A/C OK.. takes a while to cool down the room I woudl not want to stay here on a very hot day. But once cool.. it stays pretty good.

Bathoorm ... Shower is OK.... drain in floor. Water seems pretty warm. There is a sliding door for the bathoom with some "slats"... so not too much privacy when using the toilet!

Breckfast .. The small breckfast that comes with the room is huge 2 egs, ham sasage, tost etc.

Entrance is from the front or a side door in the back. You get a key so can come and go as needed.

Safe .. There is a small in room safe.. I could not get my combinatin to work. But, they did provide a safe key so I just use that to open and close the safe.

Towels .. those beat up old ones.

Generally I like the place. I am here for just a few more days....so I am not temped to move but I will probably keep looking for my perfect spot. I am not sure of the rate... but at 750 ish range it is OK.

Oh.. I also stoped over AT Tropical Berts .... I thouht the room was better than pig/W so that is a similar option.

The only thing that I did not like was the walk up the stairs to your room. I know that they have built a rear entrance to the rooms. Does any one know it they also installed an elevator yet.

Yes, there's an elevator and I can remember back 3 years it's been there??? You must have been there a LONG time ago! <grin Also, there is an entire non-smoking section for you to eat in as well that was built.

I stayed there for 7 nights a couple of weeks ago. No complaints really, didn't find the beds hard and noise was not a problem as I wasn't getting back until 6 or 7 A.M.

As stated before the food is great and some of the staff are real cuties.
