Just got e-mail from them. If you purchase ticket through their website by May 31, 2007, airfare from Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York is $734 plus taxes to BKK or Phuket.

This is good for travel between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, 2007. Stay cannot exceed 30-days.

It is a good airline. I have flown it many times.

With taxes/surchages it comes out to $934 from New York - a very nice price, and one that does not shop up on Oribtz or Expedia. NS Thai for the same period is $250 more. The Cathay Pacific flights have a minimal layover of 2.5 hours.

UA is $1016. during this period from JFK or Philly. I realise it's almost $200USD more but prices are starting to break. Way better then the $1400 or so I paid UA for my last trip.

FWIW the best price I ever paid from JFK-BKK was $158USD R/T including taxes on Cathay. It was a mistake fare and they honored it.

Great deal on great airline and may book for that period, thanks for tip.

Hub, just repaying the favor. Sometime back someone posted a "deal fare" and as it was the best, cheapest I could find I took advantage of it and would not have know about it as it wasn't in the usual sites one would visit but, like this one, direct from their website.

I really like CP and recommend it. Wish I could do this one as I could L/O in LA and visit friends coming and going-but no can do this time.

This a good deal and you might be able to do a layover in HK for a day or two. For those who have not visited HK before, I recommend it.

I agree that it one of the best airlines in the world. If you do it right, you can get CP to pick up your hotel room in Hong Kong for the night - Heres how I do it (When [possible)

Airlines require you to book your connecting flight within 4 hours of your arrival, or on the next connecting flight (Allowing for customs, etc), so if your arrival is late at night and your connecting flight is in the morning, they will pay for your hotel in Hong Kong. They have arrangements at the Airport hotel, but it is very nice and convenient.

In the morning, you arrive in Bangkok fresh.

I just read my email a few minutes ago and the only negative is that you can only earn Air Asia miles on this deal.

That sort of sours the deal.
