Curious (not bi-curious) minds want to know.

You pissed off the Internet Gods and this is your punishment ?? I could understand if all of them went away but why half of them would disappear beats me.

It seems the almighty Internet Gods are a bit moody today. :clap1

Better go find me a goat and pray the Gods accept this gracious offering :clap2 so I may not be further punished :drunk , for unless it is the gracious ladies of AngelWitch doing the punishing, I do not wish for punishment...

I was told that post counts were not incrementing, so I ran a utility that matches posts to user name and then sets the post count for the user to the actual number of posts found.

If you had ever deleted posts or had them deleted, your post count would not have changed...unless I run this utility...which I did.

Or, there could be a bug in the forum software. I don't know yet.

Well, I don't recall deleting or having any posts deleted, but my post count is down also. I don't recall what it was the last time I posted, but it was over 200. It don't matter to me, just commenting on the ubiquitous nature of the internet.

I've got this problem too.

If you go to your profile and check, you should see some odd figures there.

My profile page says I've been most active in the Members Bar with 72 posts there, while I have a total cumulative post count of 19... :clap2

It seems the Board has had a couple of Tequila shots too many and is loosing the ability to add up the numbers correctly, kind of like me on a bar crawl... :ang2 :bow

I know Martin is on top of things and I'm sure we'll see some correct numbers sooner or later :sosad

I wish it were so, but I have been running the standard utilities and the results are not what I would expect.

Perhaps it's time to start a new board, copy all the forum sections, make all the frequent posters mods, and go from there.

The only time you should worry about losing posts is if they are supporting the wire which keeps hungry lions at bay :D

I realize there are no awards for numbers of posts, but mine was roughly 247 yesterday(but who's counting),

nor do I intend to post 10-20 times a day like some.I have been active recently asking questions since my return next week will be my 1st in over 20 years.

In my case,I believe the number of posts that disappeared was roughly 130. 2guns

And my move next April will see more questions and comments also.

Let me point out that the posts are not gone.

The utility that counts your posts and updates your post count in the member information is broken. No posts have been lost as far as I know.

The post count is obviously and, apparently universally out of whack since I ran the utility. I won't lose any sleep over it (well, I did lose 3 hours trying to fix it), and will wait to see if Invision support can come up with a solution.

Joekicker is going to have a heart attack all his hard work gone. People won't be able to look at how many post in so short of time that he doesn't have a life.

If you bother to click on your name, and the click on posts you'll find all your posts are there. None have been deleted.

All of us are in the same boat, the post counter is down.

No one else is complaining. If number of posts count is so important to you, you can have mine. :D

BTW, my dick is bigger than yours, and that has no bearing on how many post I have.

I think you mean the commenters will be disappointed not having backup proof for the personal attacks they have to launch when they have nothing original to write about?

This is f...ing silly. Who gives a hoot about a number next to their name? Big number means smarter? more knowledgeable?

Folks, relax. The problem is in the hands of the forum software authors. You'll just have to do with your small counts until they can fix it.

Please don't start any more topics on this issue. It's being worked on.

Martin, when the problem is resolved. Please put my post count back to 69,696,969 posts as it was before.

I worked very hard for those, the tips of my fingers have more blisters than my palms.

Easy for you to say, but for those of us who are counting on having enough posts for another night with the FLB limo it's a serious matter! There is simply no better way to pick up chicks in Pattaya than with that car!

Yah, all I get for my less than 1000 is a self expensed baht bus ride.

Hey MM! I wish it was April Fools, hehe!

Howdy from San Jose!

BTW, JK! So you need as much as a limo to attract women even in LOS?

WHOA! Cracked 740 posts! Almost as much fun as the first time!

How's the blindness?

Who is this guy with only 1500 posts telling us what to do?

Deal then.I will trade my dick which is indeed bigger than yours for your post count which is bigger than mine.

I think the problem is now fixed.

Let me know if not.

Too late MM-I already traded my dick to rightsaid for his post count. My bigger dick for his bigger post count.

I see my # of posts has risen dramatically while rightsaid has a bigger schlog. He suggested it.

BTW,thanks for the quick attention to this "problem/issue" <grin .

Blame me! I am really sorry. I noticed the problem about 3-4 days ago and sent a PM to Martin. The problem was that anything posted to the members bar, other forums were unaffected, was not incrementing the post count. Martin said he would investigate the problem and try to correct the post counts.

Seems to be OK now and apologies again....
