The body of a Dutch national was discovered in his room, at the Niran Grand Condo, after his neighbor became concerned that he had not seen him for several days and noticed a foul odor coming from the room.

 

At about 3 am on 12th November, the police, and the Sawangboriboon rescue team, responding to a distress call from a condo owner, rushed to Room 518/322-323, 5th floor, Building B1 of the Niran Grand Condo on Soi Arunothai, Central Pattaya, to find a dead Dutch man, Mr. Jocob Marinus (75), lying face up, dead on his bed.

 

The dead body was clad in only blue underpants. His mouth was full of saliva and a small piece of bacon was in it. The police, however, found no evidence of a struggle or any signs of foul play.

 

On inspecting the room, they found a couple pieces of bacon and some medicine on the bedside table. It was estimated that he had been dead for about 7 days.

 

Police questioned Mr.Prangchompoo Jarungpan (27), a Krateoy neighbor of Mr. Marinus, the deceased man, who explained that Mr. Marinus had been living alone for many years. A week ago, he met Mr. Marinus in front of his room and was told that he was going to buy some bacon.
