Funnily enough, a lot of the places that have pools in Patong arent girl friendly.

They are mainly family tourist places and will charge large joiners fees.

There is a perfectly great beach 5 mins from anywhere in Patong.

For good girl friendly hotels (no pool though) I can recommend the Summer Breeze Hotel or the Orchid Residence both on Soi SanSabai 2 minutes from the action.

Either should come in less than 1500bt a night in low season.

2500-2800 is a lot for a room. Anyway, the more expensive the hotel, the less likely it is that it'll be girl friendly. Many of the more expensive Patong hotels have a 1000 baht joiner fee. Some don't want bar girls inside at all.

You best bet is to check Latestays.com for deals, and then email the hotel and ask about any joiner fee.

The first time I was ever in Phuket, back in 2000, I stayed at the Tropica Bungalows. They didn't have a joiner fee if you booked a double. Maybe it's still the same, and they do have a pool and it's right off Bangla Road on Beach Road.

Since then, I've always stayed at guesthouses and the cheaper hotels. That works for me.

Have stayed in Summer Breeze Hotel.

Decent enough and had no problems.

Their pool is very small, but i read subsequently

that customers can use a bigger pool nearby.

Anybody have any info.

The aBsolute Swines err Pearl are 1000 baht joiner fee. Expat comes well recommended.

Comb through Tripadvisor. The Expat and Kelly"s had good reviews.

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn but the TGF has to check in with me, otherwise not GF.

There is a pool just off Soin San Sabai that the hotels along that Soi use.

Maybe try Tony Resort on Rat U Thit? Good rooms and decent pool.

Prices should be good in Phuket for low season at the moment.

Does the capital B+S mean something other than you have bad hand/eye coordination?

If so, you are guilty of your own accusation.

Huh????

C & N is a hotel at Patong Beach. There's also a C & N Resort, I think. Anyway, I'm not sure about the pool.

Phuket is not really like Pattaya. The expensive hotels with pools and such are not really girl friendly, usually. There are cheaper, girl friendly places, but they're likely to be cheap hotels or guesthouses.

Anyway, why not just walk down to the Beach and rent a beach chair?

We stayed (September last year) in the Yorkshire Inn in a Soi opposite Bangla (all the action). Great for staggering home too after a late night out and very guest friendly. They also have a swimming pool and health club. Higher end rooms are a lot cheaper than the price you state at about BHT 1500. They have a website that is very easy to google. I will give it a very good rating.

Hope this helps.

Its been a few years since i stayed here, but the expat hotel http://www.expathotel.com/index.htm has a pool, is girl friendly with reasonable price (no guest fee). I'm thinking maybe the sort of hotel that charges what you are willing to spend can get a bit uppity about guests and want to charge you a guest fee?

This hotel (The Expat) has just recently been renovated and is great value for money in a good location.

Definitely not on or even near the beach but highly recommended by a mate is the Royal Crown Hotel. It's on the hill allegedly 1 km. from the beach. But they do offer a shuttle bus to Bangla and 2nd Road from 08:00 til 23:00, though after that you'd be at the mercy of the infamous Patong taxi mafia.

Good value especially in high season and has been guest friendly, but I'd check on their current policy before committing. And has a pool.
