Bit Torrent Links Worth Down Loading,

Recommended Posts

How about a Bit torrent link thread for the expats here that miss UK, US or Ausie TV programs, living in LOS.

I will start it off with a good US series I downloaded watched recently.

Also, UK Spooks series 8 started last week with 2 episodes available.

Mike.

Yea the whole torrent thing is pretty cool for tv shows and movies, just make sure you have your virus protection setup and up to date. It's a good idea to get one of those portable hard drives and make a backup of everything that is important to you just in case. I just recently learned that lesson the hard way.

I find mininova.org & PirateBay.org to be some of the best

I've downloaded a lot of games for my Nintendo off of MiniNova

You haven't been to Mininova recently, then? You won't be downloading any more games from there. I don't think I'll be downloading ANYTHING from there. And ThePirateBay.org is none too healthy either although still in business for the mo.

Just picked up the following updated torrent info (unfortunately only names, no links):

Share Reactor

Isohunt

Monova ( yes, not to be confused with Mininova)

BT Junkie

Kick Ass Torrents

Extratorrent

Fenopy

Torrentzap

So, there is still plenty available. Happy leeching ;)

I find torrents WAY to slow so, I use newsgroup servers.

You can get a movie in about 2 hours.

Cheers

Pirate bay and Mininova etc are too slow , too many leeches

On member sits like Supertorrents, revTT, TL, etc i get 1.5meg a second so a 750 meg XVID movie I get in approx 15 minutes,

I also use rapidshare for older stuff that would never have any seeders on torrents.

What are some of the newsgroups you are am member of LIA and do you pay anything for the download allocation

Downloading anything into Thailand will get throttled first by the sheer lack of international capacity and then by your internet provider.

100% correct your ISP will throttle torrents, even if you encrypt them, the encryption of Torrents is very poor and its very easy for the ISP to throttle it down.

When I am in LOS I only use the newsgroups to get the TV shows I watch, with Movies only 80 Baht why waste the time.

Yes the member sites are excellent uknova for UK TV can be very fast if you have the correct download to upload ratio. When I was in LOS I used UKNOVA quiet a bit to get my various TV shows I watch. But I am not happy with my ISP being able to see what I am doing.

Of course in LOS the chances of getting busted for piracy are very low. But in the real world its just asking for trouble.

UK Nova is legal. They are delayed past first showing and deleted if made commercially available. No Simpsons or similar. They have a list of what is not available on their website.

It is basically like a public video recorder for stuff shown on UK Tv that you forgot to record. Great idea.

You are speedtesting to less than 50 miles away....... you could pop over on your motorbike.

Speedtest to say UK or Germany or USA servers...at 8pm.

Eventually, you would think you guys would wise up. How many times does Bradly have to prove to you guys, that he doesn't know dick about anything? He hasn't made a post with up to date information for a damn long time. Pathetic to watch a sad loser, forced to leave Thailand, and still trying to hold on to it and think he matters. Bwahahahaha!
