World Cup .. Primadonas

This can cover Teams, Individual, Officials or Supporters.

Special mentions for divers or those going down with injuries only to make miraculous recoveries are my favorites!

Well, you know Christiano Renaldo will get mentioned so let us get him out of the way! I like him, skill wise, and huge egos are a part of celebrity it seems.

Rooney

Rooney is not a primadonna, he is the the greatest English footballer of all time however that does not mean that he is is in the top 50 footballers of all time. he is not even in the top 10 in the overrated EPL, he certainly is not in the same league as Didier Drogba/Carlos Teves/Shay Given etc

I doubt Sir Alex would swap Rooney for Drogba.

Drogs, Roons, Torres and Tevez are all brilliant players. I doubt any of their teams would swap their man for any of the others.

Rooney is a spoilt child and to describe him as the best English player of all time beggars belief !!

Have you not come across names like Bobby Charlton,Bobby Moore and he's not even fit to lace the boots of someone like Jimmy Greaves.

I would put Lineker and Shearer in front of Rooney as well.

Of course not,he's groomed him for how long?

What a disappointment at the past 2 Cups.Keep grooming His Highness,Ms Ferguson.Still a chance for another red card though.

Manchester United had Tevez. He didn't fit in. Now he plays for a lesser team where he can be THE MAN on a team sport.

After last night the entire team from Chile is worth a vote.

As for Drogba, I call him the earthworm. He spends more time wriggling around on the ground than on his feet.

True. All of those are men that have produced significantly for their country on the world stage..when it mattered. Rooney cannot be labelled as the best English player of all time just because it 'seemed' throughout last season that he was world class. His temperament stinks also. When he gets wound up he is liable to do anything and get sent off lessening the team's effectiveness.

He is playing for the team that will be no1 in the next few years . Tevez is a class act at all levels Rooney isn't . Yes he plays well in the EPL but move him out of that & he disappears . Where was he in EC games ? WC games ? To me he is another John Barnes . Great club player but shite for England .

What goes around comes around. In the last Portugal game, Ronaldo was fouled at least three times and got nothing from the Ref'. I almost felt sorry for him - The Winker !

That fat little puffed up Swiss prick Sepp Blatter who has done more retard the game with his idiotic, pompous self-importance than all the primadonna players combined.

Completely agree with you with your assessment of the little twat !

He does the rounds of the little nations promising them anything they want in return for their vote in re-electing him as head honcho yet again !

He didn't like having to change his stance on video replays & new technology but the overwhelming consensus was compelling.

cheers rogero  :beer :beer

Sorry but the grossly overpaid and inflated self worth of the entire England football team....with the status of the EPL they made a mockery of English Football.....reaching semis was a minimum expectation....simply not good enough, time it ends
