Laziness, they can sit home all day infront of the boob tube watching the soaps

Sex...most Thai women are not that aggressive sexually and more than a few would be happy for you to bang away while they watch tv

Didn't even touch on the relatives and the fact that you will be second class in their eye

After a marriage and several long term relationships with falang women I would still choose a Thai...

 

Every farang one had emotional issues.... expected me to accept their kids, but wouldn't accept mine ( I was a single dad with a daughter as a result of the mother fucking off). My other half has no emotional issues and gets on great with my daughter.

 

Laziness? She works so she can send money home and does a very good job of looking after the house..

 

TV..... Have got Thai TV via satellite, but she only watches that for a Thai soap on for 1 hour in the evenings.... rest of the time I get to choose what we watch.

 

And I have found Thai kids to be a hell of a lot better behaved than falang kids.

It's a bit odd, really. Falang women that 10 years ago would have stopped me dead in my tracks I barely notice anymore. And as much as I hate to generalize, falang women, at least here in the US, do seem to be a lot more self-absorbed than Asian women in general, and Thai women in particular. I found myself wondering one day about what the biggest differences were between my falang ex-wife and my Thai girlfriend, and I finally figured it out . . . . . .

 

I have a habit of being a little disorganized, scattered, and rushing around as a result. My Thai girlfriend is constantly reminding me to take things slowly, not try to "think too much", etc.. Why? Because she wants to me feel less stressed. My ex-wife, on the other hand, got after me about these things not because she wanted me to experience less stress, but because she saw them as character flaws and was afraid of how it would reflect on her.

Too true. 11-12 years ago I brought a buddy here who has a thing for Asian Women. He loved it. But he remarked: "Look at all these McDonalds, KFC, and other western food places. I am telling you if you feed these girls western food they will eventually be as big as western women". He pointed out that his first wife was 92 lbs when he met here in Korea. He divorced her eight years later. She had spent 7 years in America and weighed 130 lbs!

I would agree that Thai/Asian girls for the most part are more subservient than their western counterparts. But I believe that is changing rapidly.

 

I would submit that to most Thai girls we (falangs) seem rich. So of course they are going to treat you better. Western girls treat wealthy men pretty good too.

Within a few minutes she is asking what I do for a job, my martal status, if I have kids, where do I live and where did I go to School.

I used to think they were just being polite and interested in me.

Noooooooo, they are conducting an interview about what I can possibly offer them.

I dont believe they even realise they are doing this so blatantly themselves.

He tells the falang women that he collects trolleys at a supermarket.

The repulsion this brings out in the women is obvious and to us very very funny.

 

A long time TG girlfriend took 4 trips before she actually asked what I did for a job. An Aussie chick wants to know in the first 5 minutes.

The biggest difference is that Thai women enjoy being women. Western women are unisex and believe there is no difference between men and women. The femininity is long gone. The last western woman I tried to take out told me that if we were ever married, I would have to do my own cooking, cleaning and wash my own clothes. She told me that she NEVER washed her ex husbands clothes. We parted ways when I told her that I understood why she was divorced. My Thai wife gets upset if I try to do her housework. I'm not allowed to take out the trash or cut weeds in the yard. The main reason I'm not allowed to take out the trash is because I throw away good things and I can't cut weeds because some weeds are her herbs.

 

My best friend in the US is single and he told me the women want the same as a financial statement before the first date.

When I was still very single and hadn't yet been to LOS I used to get this all the time here in California. I had a few regular hangouts here in LA, a great tapas bar/restaurant among them, where this "interview" was a regular phenomenon. Some would even try to pin down where I lived to the specific neighborhood, probably because they could gauge my financial status that way. I was always vague about that, and when asked what I did for a living my answer was always, "Oh, work is the last thing I feel like talking about when I go out at night". Some took that well enough; others were clearly frustrated by my unwillingness to let them vet my financial status.

I believe the key here -- pretty easy for some -- is to make her aware that she's part of the whole money process. In my case, my wife does pretty well all the family finances, and be sure she can spot a bargain.
