I stayed at the Summer Spring on and off during July and August 2010. I liked the hotel, it was quiet and right near Beach Road.

Paid 6600 baht a week (special rate during low season and you could buy a member card for 300 baht that gave you 100 baht off per night)

They have wifi and gave you some promotion with so many hours free each time you asked (they usually charge). The wifi wasn't that good so I always connected to the nearby Holiday Inn.

In room safe

Elevator

Pool

Coffee Shop and room service(I never used)

and of course guest friendly.

For all of you that will say "it's too far from Walking Street :crying: " I didn't think so. It's not far at all to catch a baht bus on Beach Rd and the walk down the soi from Second Road is downhill so it makes it easier.

All I can find is $1690 a day for basic room, no mention of monthly.

Do we have to email them for monthly?

No monthly, I asked and got one of those Thai logic answers.

I walked in and got my rate, stay 6 nights and get the 7th free(and I also used the member card).

Bit tricky relying on Thai logic.

May have a go.

good but not very big...was never crowded when I went

....and no cocktails at the pool either...I no longer need a hotel in Patts but if I did then it would be a toss up between this one and the Sabai Lodge up the road..and I am afraid that getting the kids to deliver me Tequila Sunrises wins over the superior view...

There is one major reason for me to prefer perhaps the Sabai or at the least staying in Soi 2 and this is the fact that it is on the main route for baht buses. Just step outside the door and there will be along in seconds. This is a real bonus on a rainy night or if you have any security issues about walking down a dark soi at night.

I have stayed at Sabai Inn many times and would have agreed with you previously. However, I'm not so sure now.

I've been here 7 weeks now and am staying near Walking St. I've made several trips to N. Pattaya and have got the impression that not so many Baht buses are going down Soi 2 nowadays: they seem to be carrying straight on up Second Road.

Can anyone say if my impression is accurate, please?

Yes it is accurate. Stayed at Summer Spring in February, every baht bus I took passed by Soi 2, they either go over the Dolphin roundabout to Naklua or left there down onto Beach Road.

:clueless

I've stayed Summer Spring several times, quiet soi, fair walk down from Second Road but safe enough at night. The reception girls, about 5 of them, were all really cute.

negatives were poor tv with no English channels(may be better now), and air con not powerful enough for me.

The roof top swimming pool is great, but it can get very windy at times.

Excellent value with the promo offer,I would recommend as the rooms are nice and spacious, with balcony.

They only go down soi 2 if their empty, if your still in the back then everyone will go past soi 2

I have never seen a baht bus going down soi 2?

After I looked at this post I sent an email. Asked about a monthly deal or specials for long stay.

They emailed me back 1690/bt a night.

Loads of buses go down Soi 2 at all times of the day/night. I've never waited longer than a few minutes even in the early hours of the morning.

Hotel looks nice enough but 1690 is a bit steep imho.

True, although it is actually 1590 Bht per night in stead of 1690 Bht.

But there's no dfifference with the 1200 Bht room.

My opinion : if You're able to get the 1200 Bht room, You'll get a room worth your money.

If those are not available, for 1590 Bht/night, I would check the alternatives.

PS : took the 1590 bht room as I was too lazy to look for alternatives and really love the pool.....

  • 2 weeks later...
  • 6 months later...

Just stayed here for a month.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, spacious room, quiet.

As said .. roof top pool nice, but small ... and was empty most times I used as well (though be careful of the shiny floor tiles in the poolside loo .... I went ass over tit on them :angry2 )

Paid B350 for the member card, which lasts 2 years, and covers Sandy Spring as well, which gives you B300 off per night ... so B1390 a night.
