If you're talking about Pattaya I've seen the TV ad & I think it can be bought at the Day Night Hotel in Soi Day Night 1.

MM,I looked on you tube at various devices and they seem to work.Some of the clips i thought were quite amusing and i thought god i cant wait to try that on the god awful mutts here,especially the ones who keep shitting near my house everyday although i feel that this device is too good for them and death is the only answer.Would be interesting to walk in the sois and see how it works though.

Same as me Bazle.I have always thought about getting one.If you do get one and use it let us know what happens.I have 3 dogs that come in our village every morning around 6 and shit everywhere.2 live in a house just round the corner and the other 1 lives in a house opposite.The owners always let them out to shit on someone elses doorstep.I have tried everything chillie,pepper etc.That works but you have to keep doing it everyday for weeks to have the desired effect.

The Thai people who live in my village couldnt care less that there is dog shit everywhere.(dont you notice that Thais are really clean in themselves with showers etc but everything else they are fuckin flthy)Me and my mrs are the only ones who want to do something about it.Not bothering with city hall in east Pattaya,they dont give a fuck about anything.I wanted to confront the owners but my mrs is too scared.Id probably end up chinning someone or the other way round.So the only option is to wait there every morning for the little cunts and shoot them or stun gun them etc.

Anyone else any ideas

I have got one sits in the bag on the front of my tour bike had it 5 years and never had the need to get it out,

I will bring it with me next time i come, cant think why i never did as I normally spend time in Cambodia and

the dogs there are bastards and maybe rabid.

We had a dog in our road recently kept turning up and snapping at everyone.

 

One of my neighbours tried 3 times to poison him but no effect I suppose he was so used to eating shit his stomach was immune.

 

Not seen him for over a week now though and for that matter my neighbour hasn't been seen since Songkran either, maybe they have both run off together or eaten the same poison.

Yes you're right Jacko, I used to have Pattaya People TV on while I was messing about on the PC & half listening to the ADs

when they ran that dog deterrent thingy & mentioning Soi Day night and I got confused with the hotel.

 

Some of the ADs aired on PPTV used to really grate on me, especially Howard Miller in the space of 10 minutes recommending 3 different

chip shops as "The Best In Pattaya".

Hit them in the face with pepper spray, and they won't want to come around your house any more. They even hear you outside and they will run. Don't get the little can with a solid stream, get the big one that comes out as a fog. You can't miss that way. My Soi had a motorbike chaser, until I pepper sprayed him. He quit after that.

 

Killing a dog is an over reaction. It's the owner that lets him out to shit in others yard. The dog is just being a dog, doing what dogs do. Take it up with the owner.

I bought mine on one of the shops on Beach Road. There are two types I've seen sold there. One key ring size, it sprays a stream, the bigger ones are not really foggers like I can get in the states, but does shoot a wider spray. The stuff I got on Beach road maybe shoots 6-8 feet in a simi-wide pattern, compared to 12-15 foot fog from the US. The dog immediately stops what ever it's doing and tries to wipe it out of it's eyes, while whimpering and crying. Of course, if you got a good spray on it, the pepper is also on it's legs, so it wipes more in it's eyes. If you have the can sitting in one place, the pepper juice and water will separate, shake the can before spraying.

 

If you know someone in the police, or tourist police, they may know where to get better than what is sold on Beach Road.

Want to make your own? If you have a drip coffee maker, get a bottle of crushed peppers, and put it where the coffee goes, add a couple of shots of the strongest alcohol you can find to the water. The 99.9% stuff from the pharmacy works best. The alcohol helps bond the pepper oil to the water. Then put it in a good spray bottle, or a squirt gun you have left from Songkran.
