Due to ongoing health problems. I need to find a hotel with elevator service and a hot tub. I'm looking for a place between Beach Rd and 2nd Rd. Soi 2 to Walking Street.

When you say "hot tub", do you mean jacuzzi style (a la Marin County in the 70's) like this

, or just a bathtub with hot water?

Both will work equally well.

If you are just looking for a hotel with elevator and whose rooms have bath tubs, you have a very wide range of hotels in the area you specified. Some idea of the cost/night you had in mind would help to narrow the suggestions.

Far, far fewer hotels have in-room jacuzzis. The LK Royal Suite Hotel near the corner of Pattaya Klang and Soi Bukhao has great one-bedroom apartments (full kitchen) with in-room jacuzzis. Cost is about USD85/night (including all taxes) through Agoda. Baht buses run in both directions right outside the hotel

Jacuzzis by the pool is fine. Cost per night is not that important. I'm looking for location and the amenities I mentioned.

You're not being very specific...from a bath tub to a jacuzzi by the pool. What are YOU looking for?

I'm pretty sure you know what a bath tub is, what a jacuzzi is, what a hot tub is...and the difference between in your room and by the pool.

So what do you want?

Areca Lodge rooms have a bathtub and jacuzzi areas in both pools.

All 3 buildings have elevators.

Internet is wireless in Areca and Corona rooms and public areas, LAN cable only in Evergreen rooms.

Second road is only 2 minutes walk away, so NOT quite in the area you specified but pretty close.

The Sandy Spring has an elevator and bathtubs in the rooms. Easy access to everywhere. Nice views, reasonable price, GF.

Why not just e-mail your requirements to the managers of half a dozen or so 5* hotels. I'm sure they'll be falling over themselves to accommodate you. A mate of mine swears by it. :chogdee

Interesting point. If I was coming during low season when this has a good chance of working I would. Now for guys who are unaware of what tommie's trying to do is negotiate the best price for a long stay stay three weeks or so during low season. This when the major hotels have a low occupancy rate and the hotel manager and only the hotel manager has the authority to offer deep discounts. I've used this in the past and it does work.

Do you need a crane to lift you in and out of the bath

LK Rennaissance on Soi Dianna has lifts and jacuzzi bath tubs in their studio rooms, we paid £1400 baht per night last year on a walk in price, hoping for the same deal this year. Have stayed there last 3 years and you cant beat the hotel, IMHO

Maybe - but it isn't "between Beach Rd and 2nd Rd." which is what the OP is asking for.

Yeah, that was my point.

Yeah, that was my point.

I think a Jacuzzi is a particular sort of hot tub. A hot tub is just a large tub with hot water - which could be (but is not necessarily) with jet stream water.

The confusion arises from BigD's desire for a "hot tub". Is that a bathtub with hot water, a tub with jets of hot water out by the pool (as he said he'd like), or a true jacuzzi style tub in the room?

As usual, trying to pin him down to account for his writings is nearly impossible.

I know the OP is not entirely clear but FWIW I read it to mean that BigD needs a hotel with an elevator and a room in which there is a large bath (to accommodate his portly frame, rather than one more intended for a Thai!) with hot water.

That's really generous of you to come up with that interpretation.

Do me a favour and google "hot tub". Let us know what you see in the results, will you?

All we have here is the words as written, so there is very little room for mind reading.
