I see from the cherry bar facebook page that they are now selling bottled carlsberg again, as that was my tipple of choice before it disappeared from LOS this can only be good news.

if this is true is the FLB going to follow on?

i prefer it to anything else thailand as to offer, i rarely drink lager at home, but in pattaya the choices of beer are very limited to say the least

Yeah I know what you mean but I would rather drink Chang or Singha over that any day of the week. I actually like the taste of the Thai beers although I don't drink Chang in Thailand much now because it is so strong. If there are beers that I can't drink they are Carlsberg, Fosters, Carling and the worst "beer" I have ever tasted which has to be Budweiser.

Fosters is shit, far too sweet IMHO, rarely see Budweiser these days, I used to like it out of a bottle but the draft was crap. I like Chang but it doesnt like me if you know what I mean

Themms fightin words Sam, and just when I was gonna invite you to St. Louis, home of the Cardinals, the Clydesdales, and Anheiser Bushe, fine brewers of Budweiser. Dude if you think bud is bad, you gotta try Bush beer. Your opinion will change in a nano second.

Any ways, thanks MM, good to know carslburg is back in draft, yummy yummy. And Sam I'm gonna knock back a 6 pack O Buds in your honor this weekend.

Talking of Carlsburg, I spotted Ben in the bar the other night, here in AC.

Interestingly, when Pattaya Pete first hired Ben to manage the FLB, Ben was trying to emulate the Roadhouse Bar in AC.

If you can keep them down without being sick then good luck. :D If it's any consolation I love Jack Daniels, I have a litre bottle set aside for Christmas Day and it is my intention to drink the lot. :drunk

Nice man, I'll cheers ya on Christmas day. That's some kinda redemption bro, but it's the JD that I can't stomach. Funny part though is, the barrels that get toasted on the inside to make the Jack Daniels get sent to Scotland to age my single malt from Isley which I do so love so much. Now I do know that some casks come from sherry casks from france, but many single malts utilize the barrels from the bourbon manufacturers in Tennessee and Kentucky. Yummy and boggie makes me groggy, sweety and fruity, right rooty tootie. When I come to your island I'm going to tour the distilleries in Scotland, and drink my way around!

Good job Pete didn't listen to him. Roadhouse sucks. It;s virtually empty every night after happy hour. Saw Pete here a couple of months ago.

I watched a mega factories show about the JD factory on Discovery a while ago. Interesting process how they make it, it all gets filtered through charcoal before they bottle it. Scotland has some very scenic places in it and Glasgow is a good night out too, I worked there for three months a few years ago.

So MM says the bottles are back, that's a damn good sign, knew it wouldn't be forever economics and all.

I tried a bottle of "Gentleman Jack" in gift box mostly to get the free tumblers, but last friday at the Total Wine store there was a display and guy was standing over a barrel with bottles, saying if you bought one they' d engrave it. I tried to just buy the barrel but the dude wouldn't give. After a few drinks though, I still prefer single malt Isley over anything US or Canada produces.

Tried to get a bottle of Mekhong lately?

SOMETIMES people cheat the law of supply and demand. They're crazy, but they do it.
