Looks nice, I looked at renting at cosy beach some years ago, I really like the beach. the only hassle is the lack of public use transport if you dont ride/drive.

"With the 1/2 size fridge its only good for rentals."

Ok for me, apart from coffee and toast at breakfast, I eat out all the time. My fridge is usually empty

What do you call a half sized fridge? The one I see in the pics is a normal all over the world, except in the USA, under the counter fridge.

I have got used to seeing fridges as tall as I am, I have 2 here in LOS, and another waist height one like the one pictured. It is enough for a single guy living in a condo. Half a case of beer, a bottle of milk, some mouldy cheese, orange juice and a few soft drinks would likely fit in. If you are they type to cook a 25lb turkey for Christmas I doubt the fridge, or the condo are big enough.

Actually, that was Friendship, though I'd prefer to go to Foodland.

In spite of the number and size of the haul, we don't need large quantities of anything. We aren't buying in bulk...just lots of things.

My understanding of Macro is that if it's suitable for large packages of items, tho I've never been.

Anyway, a half fridge wouldn't cut it in our style of shopping.

Shite MM in all your years there you have never to Macro!

Find that bloody hard to believe.

Sorry to shock you, but I'm quite happy with Foodland. I go to Friendship when I've not much time and am desperate.

I love how a `fully fitted kitchen` doesn't include an oven nor a dishwasher.

I think a dishwasher (other than the TGF type) is rather overkill for a single guy living in a 'studio'.....

I know they are big in the USA but personally I can have the job done by the time you stack one, nor do I have the quantity of crockery that would allow me to leave the dishes for a few days. I have always felt them to be a complete waste outside a restaurant kitchen.

I tried Macro a few times but it is too far out of the way for me as I live North of Pattata.

Although I do buy non-perishable items in sort of bulk. If I am down to a single bottle of mouthwash I go and buy 3......

How many baht would a typical haul like that hit you for......?

And imagine what it would cost in Villa....... :yikes:

jacko, that 3 cart haul wasn't really representative of a typical load. It only had 2 thick Aussie steaks, a box of wine,a few frozen dinners from some local producers, and most of the rest was Thai food/meat, laundry stuff, and probably some cosmetics snuck in by my missus. It was 10K.

At Villa, I'd be buying Wagyu steaks, going crazy on the selection...I hate to think what the bill would be.

And, of course (to stay on topic), it would not fit in that refrigerator!

So yours does that too...(sneak cosmetics into the cart)...I stopped bringing mine, cut my bills by half easy!

And to stay on topic, I think I need 2 drinks fridges!

I absolutely hate shopping. My wife occasionally suckers me into going with her and it always costs me money. She has a budget and if the total goes over that figure, which it normally does when I go with her, she taps me for the extra. The household budget is 30,000 baht per month and that pays for everything, utilities, clothes and food.

ADDED - We have two refrigerators at the house. One is a huge thing with a bottom freezer and the other is about twice as big as the under counter little box shown. The refrigerator in my condo is twice as big as the one shown and it is too small even for me when I am staying there alone. I don't mind doing my own cooking.

Makro is on Sukhumvit just south of Jomtiem beach side.

When you watch TV or read adverts here, you get a bit saturated on fucking condos for sale.

Apologies to the OP.
